It's a shame that Nutt refused to get good quarterbacks on campus that would take pressure off the running game. He would have had an SEC title in 06, 07 or both years. Those teams were loaded and it was a big waste. ...

The state of Arkansas could be the size of Texas and they would Aggie it up.
Some programs just have it and and know what it takes to win. They have goals of what they want to achieve and are very aggressive in doing so.

A younger, less experienced coach wouldn't have brought the level of excitement needed to look past the disaster of the football and basketball seasons.
Getting Cal was letting the outside understand that Arkansas wasn't going to let the basketball program slide back into irrelevance once again...

Maybe he did underperform his last few years at Kentucky but even other HOF coaches had some lean years in between some good years. And those fans complained as well.
You can't ignore his overall body of work at Kentucky and say he underperformed. ...

Arkansas basketball was irrelevant for a quarter of a century before Muss arrived and it woke some people up. Eddie Sutton did the same back in 1978.
As long as Cal doesn't revert Arkansas back to the dark days of Stan Heath, John Pelphrey and Mike Anderson then most hog fans would be fine with...
