re: Best champagne

Billecart is fantastic, Pol Roger is a cut above. But agree wholeheartedly. Was talking last week about this crazy champagne festival that was in New Orleans around 2010-ish. They rented a whole hall in the convention center and stocked it with champagnes running the gamut. Had a whole room upstairs...

Go get a few cases of champagne. Billecart, Perrier—Jouet, etc. But then go get a magnum or double magnum of something baller. That way you have good champagne for everyone to guzzle and a baller bottle for photo ops, a toast, spraying, what have you. That’s the way to handle this. ...

Not a knock on you Fun Bunch, but I’m pretty sure every breakfast focused place has this exact scenario. I drive by any breakfast and am absolutely confused why people are waiting in line for eggs. ...

My best advice, besides the wine shop tip, is to find importers you like. Rosenthal, Kermit Lynch, Mary Taylor selections, etc… and try and shop based on the importer rather than the label. Well the importer is on the back label but you get the idea. I can usually be guided to a bottle I’ll enjo...

This was almost 20 years ago but we stayed in San Sebastien and took a bus at night to Pamplona. Stayed up all night and then ran in the morning. A lot of fun but have to be prepared to be homeless basically. Whole city rages all night. The running part is pretty exhilarating but over quickly. I...

Honest review. Fun. Really cool to see a vanguard act in a “matinee” as Mick called it. Musically. Mick sometimes doesn’t know when he is supposed to sing but the vocals play. Band wise it’s fine. His jab at Landry it just sucked a lot of air out of the room. Yes Mick the reason Louisian...
At that age, mine were taking naps during the day and slept 10 - 12 hours a night. I wouldn't want to go to a city or someplace heavy on restaurants, bars, and nightlife, as I'd miss it sitting in the rental.
I get that but if your option is going to Paris with a 10 month old or no...
Don’t listen to the naysayers Life with a ten month old is pretty much going to be the same as vacation with a 10 month old. Go to London or Paris or a big city with easy convenient public transportation options and you will be fine. Get an apartment ...
Heading there this summer but starting in north Italy and ending in Naples. Taking two kids, 11 and 9. In Rome we have a food tour with Katie Parla on the docket. Colosseum and Vatican as well. Heading down to Pompeii and flying out of Naples. Excited to get back to Naples and do some pizza stuf...

Madrid gets a bad rap because all things considered it’s a modern city by Spanish standards. But you can have a great time and see some tremendous castles, art museums, and other cool stuff over a couple days. But the thing is when you get out of Madrid you tend to believe “Esta es la verdadera...

Love that area and did this exact trip a few years ago. Blanking on and but there is a mid April remembrance day for war veterans. Caught a very moving March and presentation by the tomb of the unknown soldier. Could have also been tied to queens jubilee so don’t quote me on that. Churchill ...
