Holy cow thanks for sharing. That must have been crazy to see at age 8....
I think the real reason is technology/google maps etc. People don’t need to really spend time figuring out where things are anymore; they just mindlessly follow their map directions and shortly forget about it. I will say I’ve gotten way better at paying attention to where things are and gene...

Well today I finally learned what those ducks are all about, and got to read a nice story to boot. Thanks baw!...
Does the zero-zero seat have a control where it won’t deploy if the pilot is not strapped in?...

Traditional ejection seats require a minimum altitude and airspeed for safe ejection, as the parachute needs time to deploy and slow the in...

Another good opportunity to help is if you see an elderly person loading groceries in their car to help them load the groceries and then walk their cart back. I try to do this when I can. They’re always so appreciative of the gesture. ...

I dwell on this stuff too much and the thing that settles my mind a lot is just thinking about all the old people I see and knowing that they got through life too and statistically most people in my life including myself will also get there just fine. It’s a scary world when you dwell on the anomali...
