Bo didn't have to worry about that at UT. Just curious what this does to asst coaches.
If you're going to buy ready-made players, what do you need Bo Davis for? So the answer is, yes, they will stick around and do what they've done long before NIL which is coach and develop player...
CJ West picked to go to Indiana. Yes, Indiana is beating us for DTs
The guy just wants to stay close to home if he chooses Indiana. But if he's not going to be available until August. I'm not sure how much good that will do anyway. He misses strength and conditioning while try...
Predictions for Bama are starting to come in.
Well he hasn't visited LSU yet, correct?...
$1.5 million for the 23rd ranked DL in the portal?
If he's not the best d-line prospect on your team and the highest paid, it will be hard to justify that decision....
Cj west?
If CJ West won't be available until August, he won't know the team or scheme and will not have done any strength and conditioning workouts over the summer. I don't know how much I would count on him to be impactful at the beginning of the season. He could be a workout ...
We lost 4 defensive linemen to the portal before Davis got here, so some of this was self inflicted by not choosing to fight to keep at least two....
You’re losing Páez, Lee and Guillory so, yes, you will need at least 2 more rotational DTs to sub with McKinley and Johnson who will be sophomores by then. It would be smart to bring in some DTs this season that have more than one year of eligibility....
Agreed. LSU is not at a point to look for a 1 season quick fix. A 2nd or 3rd year player with the ability to return and establish true depth is what LSU needs to bridge them to 2026. If they get a 1 year player, they will be in the same boat again next year....
Why not check out the other Mich St. DT who hasn't committed yet?
Well, never mind. I just saw he committed to Oregon....
Oklahoma quarterback General Booty has entered the NCAA transfer portal
I guess he decided to give someone else a turn?...
I guarantee you Landry won't be on the news saying there may be no LSU football if we don't pass his agenda.
You're right. He just publicly threatened to take scholarships away from players. That wouldn't impact football, right? There are much bigger issues to worry about in Loui...
There is nothing in place that keeps coaches from moving from job to job every year.
Yes there is. It’s called a contract. There are buyout clauses and things like that which have to be satisfied to move on....
I think we're all crazy if the top 203 DT's were going to take one visit and then just shut it down and commit. I don't think that LSU will come up empty. They have a chance to circle back NIL wise if they are serious.
I hear ya, Cap, But consider Auburn already has two locked up...
Blame Brian Kelly. He is the one that said they are focusing on signing top quality DT. They supposedly freed up a bunch of money to go after the top guys and we can’t outbid Auburn?
It's likely that when talking numbers, they're coming in too low. The sad part is they may well ha...
No clue why or where he’s going
Probably USC like with the guys that did the hype videos in 2019....
He’s played 6 games total the past three seasons.
If you have 5 years to play 4 and you played in 39 games, how is it possible that he played 33 games in a season when the max for one season including the CFP championship is 15?...
Perkins is too small to play ILB. That was emphasized over and over. Our lack of pressure on opposing QB's was the direct result of Perkins misuse.
The key is to not let offenses take him out of the play by having him on the outside. He can play OLB, but he needs to have the chanc...
