This is what I do. I bought the linked gas line and had a plumber install a quick connect to my gas meter. Then I run a 50 amp cord to my box with an interlock.

I bought a firman tri fuel generator from costco and had a plumber add a quick connect gas outlet and an electrician add an interlock hookup. got it all done about 3 years ago and last week was the first time I had used it and was quick and easy to get going. easily ran everything except central AC...

If you have $100k in equity you probably can't borrow $100k or even $75k on a heloc without being way over the loan to value ratio the bank would be okay with. In texas I think HELOCs are limited to 80% LTV, not sure about other states....

if you are driving straight to fairplay from Denver be aware that it is 1,000 feet higher than dillon and higher than Breck. Drink lots of water.
I prefer Garden of the gods over pikes peak in Colorado Springs....

really screwing me on a trip to Bozeman this August with this change. Best flight from Hobby the same day gets in 5 hours later. Was planning to fish for half a day, but probably won't be able to unless they add more flights from hobby to make up for it. ...

Assuming you are going to the Westheimer Sun and Ski since its the biggest that I know of in the area. It isn't far from the Galleria area which has a bunch of hotels and food options and also sets you up within easy driving distance to most of the city.

Always went to Ocean Club growing up and it was nice a good, but haven't been in a while so not sure if its still nice or dated.
The restaurant at henderson Park Inn is really good.
Louisiana Lagniappe is good, but if from BR then its nothing new....
