You could give birth in an airport on a layover in Houston flying from Mexico City to Europe and your kid is a U.S. Citizen. Makes no sense.
This happens in the US Pacific islands a lot with Chinese nationals. Some doctor was charging $25k to deliver a baby in the US and apply for...

re: Moving companies.

Make sure the company is legit and has insurance if they frick your shite up. Wrap all breakables yourself and absolutely nothing flammable can be moved by others....
Where do you get the hydrogen? Can I pull up to an air liquide ASU and swipe my card?...
What about the Hutterites?
I never saw these while I was in Edmonton. We had a training facility close to the Ukrainian village 15 miles east of Edmonton, though. Fun times driving through thick arse fog, not having a clue where you’re going in the middle of nowhere Alberta, and d...
I don’t see this working for Edmonton. The downtown is nice, but small for a million person metro. Half the area is cutoff by a large river and the majority of industry is in the south and east section of the region. Also, Edmonton is an oil and gas hub with oil fields surrounding the area within...
I sold a car in California 10 years ago with Louisiana plates. Somehow my SSN is flagged and I can’t get SL. I still cannot get anyone on the phone to tell me why I’m flagged. I’ve called 4 times and waited over an hour with no answer. I might buy land in MS and never register anything in LA....
Do you remember the Podesta emails on Wikileaks? Hillary’s caught doing the same thing for the 2016 election. Obama had press questions before every major press event. It’s been almost 20 years now where the DNC and every media outlet have been lockstep in communicating a headline. Why do you ...
Canceling insurance the day you turn in the plate is acceptable. The plate not getting cancelled for weeks afterward, not so much.
I sold my car out of state and this happened. I move back 10 years later and my license was flagged and I potentially owe $600 in fines. Every time I...

Stay in the townhome until rates go back under 5%. Most likely 1-2 years out as inflation is still not going down as anticipated. Keep plugging away at your 401k and HSA as you seem to be in 20-30s. Your money has longer to compound and will be the backbone of your retirement. When you’re read...

re: Weber vs Char broil

Posted by The Goon on 5/8/24 at 8:16 am
My charbroil fell apart in three years. I cleaned it after every use and the LA humidity destroyed it quickly. I bought a new Weber Genesis and cannot complain. The grill is much sturdier and is holding up much better to the environment. Order a cover with whatever you buy....

What the frick is going on now? Three wrecks on a Friday and now I’m stuck just past Rosedale. DOTD is saying 10W is closed again. fricking shitass LA drivers....
I want to know about the one house on Pecue that hasn’t moved. The road is 8ft away from the house and will be used 24 hours a day. I would have begged for eminent domain from the initial announcement....
Isn't alot of that scrubbed out, though, before going back downhole?
It’s separated and then goes into a tank for storage. Sometimes the tanks are clean, others are not. Older formations use water injection on the back side to keep pressure on the reservoir and keep the oil movin...
I read this the other day. It reads like it was taken from multiple google question and answers. Zero mention of the depths and pressures the water is injected. It reads like oil producers are just throwing polluted water into drinking water reservoirs. Injection water was some of the nastie...
Stuxnet and it's ancillary viruses were terrifying.
This. This was around 2005. Someone’s phone was hacked and allowed for the Bluetooth function to insert a virus at Natanz. The virus caused the enrichment equipment to spin too fast and rip itself apart. This was almost 20 y...

Power wash soap for cleaning mildew.

Posted by The Goon on 4/17/24 at 8:00 pm
Any good recommendations for a mildew killer for vinyl siding. I plan to spray down the house as a pre clean and then power spray everything. Only grass around the edges with no flowers or shrubs....
Green River formation is the largest known in the world and it sits square in the U.S.
I did not know this. I read a bit about production methods that are being tested and this seems beyond challenging. Payoff seems incredible, though, with breakeven costs at $25 BOE....
There’s oil deposits everywhere, but within complex geography’s and amounts that make it uneconomical to drill. Lookup the Monterey Shale formation in California. It’s one of the biggest deposits in the world, but unattainable due to the viscosity and tight formation. Basically it’s too deep ...
You should read up on Milton Friedman on immigration. Basically he shows that you can either have a welfare state or free immigration, but you cannot have both. Free immigration will sink the system and increase the tax burden on everyone if your economy doesn’t fail first....
