Swamp Bucket question
Posted by dchotard on 5/10/24 at 7:33 pm
I’ve used my swamp bucket to boil shrimp dozens of times. Love it.
Tonight I picked up 7 pounds of live crawfish from Crawfish on the Geaux on Perkins. I used a good bit of liquid crawfish boil. They came out great, and peeled perfectly. But they tasted hardly seasoned at all. Was using liquid boi...

Hey Liz,
You CHOSE to go on Survivor knowing you can’t eat anything.
Don’t give us this damn pity party when you haven’t eaten anything since the merge. Maybe you should’ve thought about that!...

re: LSU Gymnastics are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

I know we have an incredible Freshman class coming in, along with who we have returning, but with GA firing their coach, and the wonderful treatment that Lily Smith received rotating with our team during the Semis, might there be any way she transfers here? I don't know how many roster spots/schola...

re: The Zone of Interest

I chose this movie to watch on a flight home Saturday, because there was nothing else that piqued my interest, and I’m so glad I did.
A hauntingly excellent film, that says so much while saying so little....

re: Is the gymnastics podium challenge tonight going to be televised
And its LSU tying to "game" the system a bit by getting a "neutral" site score (which count for more in the seeding analysis) even though the meet is not really "neutral".
No. There’s no such thing as a neutral site meet. They’re home and away. Because this isn’t a home meet at th...
re: Korean BBQ and Hot Pot slated to open at Essen and Staring
Posted by dchotard on 3/5/24 at 12:37 pm
If they're paying $2.8M for a place, then Essen and Staring is dumb - horrible to get in and out of. Spend that much and get the old CVS on the corner of Gov't and Acadian - much bigger lot, more parking, somewhat easier to get in and out of, and it's in Mid-City....

re: Did Staley and CKM say much to each other during postgame handshake?
after game it was a quick handshake
No, it wasn't.
They embraced for a good 15-20 seconds and Mulkey spoke in Staley's ears (because it was so loud in the PMAC)....
re: Parenting Question

When they have to split something, let one split it. Then the other gets to pick which one they want.
Switch who gets to split the next time.
They'll soon realize that they need to make them exactly the same. If they complain, then your answer is either, "You split them," or "That's the one yo...
