No comparison, car insurance is voluntary in that you do not have own a car. I can choose to not have children but am required by law to support children that are not mine. Am I understanding it correctly that you believe that military members and Veterans are welfare recipients?...

I don't really have a issue with this. The parents of these kids are tax payers. If a parent decides to home school or put their kid in private school they should be able to access the funds and amount that would go to cover their kid if they were attending a public school, no more no less.
