I am so torn about Trae. I see him as the perfect fit with Zion and Murphy. He and Zion have the opposite gravitational effect on defenses- Zion pulls defenders into the post and Trae stretches defenders past the 3 pt line with his range. Murphy would have lots of open looks.

The fact is the Saints are rebuilding. When a team is rebuilding, I think it’s best to let young guys play. Players develop better through playing time. Renfrow presents a block to some young guys playing time.
If the young guys don’t develop, great. Now you know and can drop them and move on next...

I have to give credit to Allen and his coaches, they know how to scout and pick defensive backs. The problem is that their confidence in that position leads them to draft it to the detriment of other positions.
Can Kool aid help this team, sure. But not more than def line, offensive line, or WR? ...

I’ve heard so much negativity about D Maye that I wouldn’t want him even if he fell to 14. I think we do not have the right environment for him to develop. He’s seems closer to a project than a ready made star...

Depends how you define the duties of their job. If it is just “win”, then I think that is short sighted. The focus should always be trying to win but doing so with a realistic evaluation of players, how to develop players, state of the roster vs competition, and future realistic goals.

It doesn’t matter. We are not a contender. If Carr goes down, we just let the young guy play. Best case…we discover we’ve got something. Worst case…better draft picks...

If not mistaken, in 2018 we traded two firsts to move from 28 to 14 in order to draft Davenport. Could you imagine how great that would be for us to do the opposite- drop to 28 and pick up an extra 1st.
This team has so many needs that we can get a great fit for us at 28. ...
