Bateman is not thin at all. That is a really big leftie. You have to love the potential there. I hope he gets to campus.
He is a really big kid. Has been trending up pretty quick lately in prospect rankings.
Update to the 2024 PG rankings since I last posted everyone back in like August last year. Here's how every commit has trended for us:
#2 -> #2 OF Konnor Griffin - MS
#15 -> #5 LHP Cam Caminiti - AZ
#3 -> #6 OF Derek Curiel - CA
#9 -> #10 C Cade Arrambide - TX
#19 RHP William Schmidt -...

Is this the same PG high school list to compare apples to apples?
I'm not saying you are wrong as I haven't seen an updated PG list since February, just questioning it because a lot of lists now are prospect lists for the draft including college prospects, so it is expected they would all drop a ...

I'd go Moffett to Ack or vice versa. See how far they can get you then piece together the rest.
I feel they have used a lot of pitching over the 2 games. They should be on some bottom of the line guys tomorrow....

For sure. I agree it hasn’t been done but I also haven’t seen them all throw so little pitches. It seemed Jay did it that way for a reason to throw them again. If not he would have let little go as long as possible to finish the game. ...

I agree with more of you takes than a lot of people here but this is not one of them. All relievers are available again this weekend. Especially Saturday. ...
re: Will Bear Jones be back at LSU next year?

MLB.com has him as the 116 overall prospect. While prospect ranking and draft stock aren't quite the same, at this point in the process it gives you an idea.
116 overall falls in the 4th round this year. Like I said, it isn't quite linear because of signability and also you never know how a speci...

New 2024 HS guy to monitor: Everett Denny from Jesuit in NOLA.
Looks like he has played every position on the field at Jesuit. Decent sized kid listed as 6-2 185 lbs.
Twitter shows his end of regular season stats as
.425/.600/1.216
6 2Bs
1 3B
3 HR
21 RBI
Fountain looks like a true 3B which LSU hasn't had in some time
From what I have read, he has mixed reviews on the defensive side. Some say he can stick at 3B at the MLB level and some say he will end up at 1B only. I think Tommy White's improvement defensively at 3B could be a pit...

Herring has to work on a 3rd pitch and prove he can get through a lineup 3 times if he wants to show he can be a starter and improve his draft stock. If he doesn't do that then he is what he is at this point. He can be, and is, a really good college pitcher with what he has now but with only 2 pitch...

Some of the latest prospect rankings has him as a 3-4 round guy right now. 7-10 is way out the ballpark there. With the power he has he wouldn't get past the 5th. It will all depend on the money and if he wants to stay on campus another year vs traveling in low/high A for a couple years....

Boston Bateman gaining lots of steam going into the draft.
Curiel and Arrambide both falling a bit going into the draft. Seems we may have a shot at those guys. Curiel more than Arrambide IMO but seems like in a lot better position for Arrambide than 6 months ago....

1. California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia have the most talent because of the organizations coming up.
2. Jay is a west coast guy with plenty ties to that area. Being the talent that way is usually really good you can see why he would recruit hard that way.
3. I do think the talent in Louisia...

I don't think anyone can keep it up like you have. Appreciate the work you put into these threads.
Maybe if not being able to completely keep up with the way you have done it in the past you can just simple it down a bit. Maybe just the next years recruiting cycle and then people can use the comm...

10 in the portal would either suggest some of these kids never actually wanted to be here and leaving at the first sight of getting passed on the depth chart or that Jay is doing something to run kids off. 10 is a lot.
If that happens based on numbers right now they would be 2 players short of th...
