I've only been with Aggie friends when they were playing someone other than LSU. Was in the stadium the year they almost beat Alabama (2018-ish). May try and go this year depending on kickoff time. Will need to be a day trip with the kiddo....
I’m selfishly hoping that they don’t schedule a football game here in Austin for at least a few years. I’m definitely going to want to take my son to a few LSU games, and I think being 3 or 4 would be a good time to get him started. Glad UT joined the SEC just so the Tigers will be in Aust...
Thanks! Mrs. ATX is a Longhorn so his first game may be something here in Austin. We'll get to BTR for at least one game this year, just haven't determined which one yet....
Correct. You can get a flight on Friday and back on Monday for less than $900.
Likely a better option if your schedule allows. The Delta direct is up over $1700 in Economy now....
I didn’t see any direct flights on Thursday from BR to Vegas.
It's only operating on Friday to Vegas and Monday back...
From Gulfport, they will take you directly to Atlanta for your connection to Vegas. There will not be any direct flights from Gulfport by Delta. It is amazing they are doing them from BR and NOLA.
Breeze is flying direct from Gulfport to Vegas, could be a good budget option for ...
Ahh thanks. Not going to work for me. Going got Thursday through Monday.
They're pretty niche and the timing isn't great, but hopefully somebody here finds it valuable. I wish I was going to the game but H2O Jr's arrival in a few weeks has me grounded....
I'm assuming that's a typo and you're saying you see no flights. The flight adds are only 1x each way. [link=(https://www.google.com/travel/flights/booking?tfs=CBwQAhpAEgoyMDI0LTA4LTMwIiAKA0JUUhIKMjAyNC0wOC0zMBoDTEFTKgJETDIEMTcyOGoHCAESA0JUUnIHCAESA0xBUxpAEgoyMDI0LTA5LTAyIiAKA0xBUxIKMjAyNC0wOS...
Look into that direct flight out of Gulfport on Breeze. Lafayette may be an option that's closer to home as well. Connections drive the price down....
Flying non-stop is overrated, I’d pay less if it means I stop in Dallas, Denver, etc
I also don't mind connecting, especially if the price is cheaper. Some folks would rather fly direct and pay for the convenience. Hell, I'm flying from Austin to Nashville with stops in DFW...
Check direct flights from Gulfport, MS, too.
Looked into this and Breeze appears to be flying this route regularly. Nice option as the A220-300 is a joy to fly...
Paying $750 to fly on spirit is absurd
It's almost like there is some big event happening in a major city on a holiday weekend. Look at prices to Austin the weekend that Georgia plays Texas and the F1 race is in town. Prices are absurd....
Thanks for the heads up, unsure if Breeze is running these as regularly scheduled flights for casino traffic or not. Need to do some more research. ...
Certainly isn't cheap though. Posted this over on the SEC Rant yesterday but Delta added 56 new, direct routes for college football games this fall. This includes direct flights from Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Las Vegas for the season opener against USC. They've also added direct flights between Oklahoma City and Baton Rou...
Right but what I'm saying is I would have thought they would add even more coming from Atlanta since that's where high demand would be. I'm having to fly in and out of San Antonio that weekend just because of the exorbitant prices into Austin.
Delta is charging prices that high bec...
Not sure why they added trips from fricking lexington, gainesville, tampa, and orlanda to Austin but none extra from Atlanta.
Delta added flights into Austin that weekend as Formula 1 is also in town. It isn't mentioned in their release as the Atlanta-Austin route is already an e...
Tuscaloosa sitting on that fat stack of profit share money ...
