I was taught to swim at age 3. My parents paid for swimming lessons every summer when I was in elementary school. Teaching kids to be safe in the water is important. It ranks alongside "Don't get in the car with a stranger"....

I have advocated for the Maronite Christians in Lebanon for many years. When my ancestors traveled to the Holy Land to fight in the Crusades, the Maronite Christians in Lebanon helped them on the journey. I pray that the Christian population in Lebanon is not destroyed by the Islamists....

I have been a teacher for 3 decades. The stupidity is not limited to geography. I once gave a biology test with the answers written on the board and only 1 kid passed. I gave a history test with the following question:
The Pilgrims came to America seeking ________.
One kid wrote "attention"....

I used the link in the post by EagleEye99. I think I will make regular monthly donations. They seem to be underfunded by the University compared to other sports like football, basketball, etc....
