Diatomaceous earth is good for getting ticks, fleas, etc off. I rub my dogs down with it and then wash them with a flea/tick wash the next day

The lower center of gravity is a more comfortable ride with a zero turn, it's also more nimble.
I would get something with a kawasaki engine from a dealer not from tractor supply, Lowe's, etc. Maybe a badboy zt elite...

I prefer Truman to Lake of the Ozarks.
Table Rock is a great fishery but the Branson side is over run with rental boats (its also $$$).
You can't actually live on Ouachita due to USFS owning the land down to the white line.

I live under an hour from the KS border and duck/upland hunt on my neighbors farm near Emporia,KS yearly.There is no ice fishing
I'll be breaking ice for my stock the next few months...

Bring a life jacket and waders if you want to ice fish in Kansas or Nebraska.
You admittedly haven't experienced a real winter since you were a child, let the people who deal with sub zero temps decided this....
