re: Top roasts of all time

Dean's roasts were indeed great.
I really enjoy Ruth Buzzi and Rich Little on them....
re: Are we recruiting Adin Huntington from ULM?
Posted by rjokerlsu on 5/7/24 at 1:11 pm
Certainly West and Huntington could help.
Also, one poster did mention two incoming freshmen DT's, though I don't think they were named.
We don't really know yet on Dominick McKinley, who doesn't arrive until summer, but was highly rated. Also De'Myrion Johnson of Westgate.
Does anyone th...
re: Looking like Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan won't run in the Preakness
Posted by rjokerlsu on 5/7/24 at 1:14 am
It's only been a few days since the Derby. Has he decided this already?
Seems a bit soon to declare him out. It would be a shame if Mystik Dan can't run in the Preakness....
re: Alabama DL Khurtiss Perry enters the transfer portal
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/24/24 at 6:10 am
I believe Perry is buried on the Tide's depth chart and LSU has better options out there....
re: Starting Texas CB and Former 5 Star Brooksto Hit Portal

Certainly hope the Tigers have a shot at landing Brooks....
re: LSU Gymnastics are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/23/24 at 2:23 am
It makes little sense for Jay to return to Georgia.
Congrats to the gymnasts. After coming so close all those years, they came through in a big way....
re: On a scale of 1-10, How excited are you about taking the series over Mizzou?
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/23/24 at 2:20 am
I'd say 8.
Given where the team was entering that series, it desperately needed to record a conference series victory.
Their backs are still up against the wall. They need to record even more SEC victories.
As the old cliche goes, take it one game at a time....
re: Sage Ryan and major burns haters
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/19/24 at 2:23 pm
It’s certainly true that Ryan has missed plenty of tackles, and his pass coverage needs to improve.
But I thought he was considered a better safety than corner prospect. Hopefully his play improves next fall, along with Burns. That’s why the team has spring and fall workouts....
re: Skenes will be on the McAfee show today.

A really enjoyable interview. Paul seems to handle the coverage with no difficulties.
I just wonder how much longer will the Pirates keep him in the minor leagues. Seems like he can still pitch the limited innings in the big leagues....
re: Jared Mitchell to be on SEC Now for the remainder of the college baseball season
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/12/24 at 11:39 am
Congrats to Jared and best wishes!...
re: Nice get for Men’s Basketball

V. Miller is a tremendous addition to this team, now finish strong with a few solid portal players....
re: Who will be Arkansas Bball coach next year?
Posted by rjokerlsu on 4/5/24 at 1:34 pm
Bring back Nolan Richardson?...
re: How is it that Arkansas is consistently elite?
Posted by rjokerlsu on 3/29/24 at 12:30 pm
The Hogs are up there it seems like every year, but they falter in the NCAA tourney.
We'll see what happens to them this year....
re: News flash to the basketball haters
Posted by rjokerlsu on 3/20/24 at 12:48 am
It would certainly be great to have a player the caliber of those you mentioned.
Hopefully either or both Reed and Ward will be SEC caliber next season.
And the two new recruits coming from the high school level should help.
Not sure at this time if any will be added from the transfer porta...
re: PP7 on Good Morning Football

Obviously one could name many others, like Charley Alexander and Jerry Stovall, to list two....
re: 100% chance of Storms Friday in Starkville

re: Future of offensive line
Posted by rjokerlsu on 3/14/24 at 12:20 am
I can recall when two highly rated defensive linemen moved to offense back in 2007. Lyle Hitt and Carnell Stewart proved to be successful. Hopefully, the reverse can be true for the 2024 season.
It looks like Kelly and Brad Davis have done such a tremendous job of recruiting offensive linemen t...
re: No 1 Receiver visiting Texas Spring game?

Underwood hopes to complete lots of big passes to Moore.
And running back signee Caden Durham was Moore's high school teammate. His influence should also help keep Moore on the right track....
re: Baker needs to sit
Posted by rjokerlsu on 3/6/24 at 10:58 pm
When he dribbles in the lane with the ball, it is a turnover waiting to happen.
Also, sometimes when he gets a rebound, comes down with it and tries to dribble, it seems like half the time the opponent takes the ball away from him. The result? Yet another turnover....
re: Perfect weekend for LSU athletics?

How about the softball team beating powerhouse Oklahoma at Norman?...
