I have the same bike that does the same thing. We figured out if you slide the red kill switch to the side and turn the key to the on position the "dash" will go away....

Man.... That brings back a horrible memory. My HRCH/MH was taken by an alligator right in front of me. Happened in the blink of an eye. Best dog I ever had and ever will....

re: Shark bite while fishing. Video
Posted by PocketLab on 4/20/24 at 3:11 pm
Was fishing Mechant one spring, caught a big gafftop. Left him out of the boat, grabbed pliers to unhook him. I lifted his head and was reaching for the hook with the pliers when a shark hit the catfish. Its head was 14 or so inches wide........
re: Retay Shotguns

Off the wall question, but how long are your arms? Im 6'2" and most shotguns have shot high for me. Several years ago I bought a Beretta. Went to the gunsmith to get it fitted correctly. He added 2" to my stock and presto! Dead arse on....

re: Ear buds for shooting and listening to music
Posted by PocketLab on 1/25/24 at 11:48 am
I've used both of these for radio & shooting, running the GT also. Currently have the JBLs, they're good quality and great battery life. I might charge once a week and I listen to 4 to 6 hours of podcasts a day with them. Lost the Earfun buds in the bayou, I really liked them. Theyre a little smalle...
Spray your feet with unscented antiperspirant deodorant and let it dry before putting socks on. If it’s real cold I put on a thin Thermax liner sock and then Merino wool socks. Make sure your boots are large enough that they aren’t real tight.
This! Came here to post this exactly. ...

re: Drought Effects on Deer Season
Posted by PocketLab on 11/30/23 at 1:19 pm
I hunt straight cypress swamp in lafourche parish. There's zero water in the swamp. Walk with tennis shoes where you normally need hip boots. There's feed everywhere, the entire swamp is green. Deer are fat & happy. Even tougher to hunt than usual because they can walk everywhere......

re: LA west zone opening weekend results

Dularge area sat had a fairly decent amount of birds around. One blind had a two man limit. Couple of greys, a dos gris and the rest teal. Know about 5 or 6 other blinds who were in the 12 to 15 range, again mostly teal with a few greys mixed in. Sunday had far fewer birds. We killed 12 with 4 greys...

re: Who is seeing ducks?

Brought my son yesterday to Dularge morning late. Threw decoys at 9:30 am then brushed a couple of blinds. Saw several flocks of greys. Probably 200-250 all together. Two flocks of BWT & a ton of Dos Gris going to roost at sundown. Not outstanding by any means, but not terrible. Things will change d...
re: Compound Bows

My son is about to turn 14. Same situation last year, he was dying for a bow. I explained that he'll be growing so much in the next few years that we would get him a good adjustable bow. We got him a Bear Royale. You can easily adjust draw weight & length. Around $300 if i remember correctly. If he'...

I read the same, not sure where. But thought it said something about the survey being done in two specific regions. Miss delta & Atch spillway, metioning the population is higher with the bears outside of that. Rings a bell but not 100% sure...
re: Hearing protection

Take a look at Decibullz. They're not electronic, but use dampeners. You mold them to your ears. You can hear conversations in the blind and they reduced gunfire DBs. Me & my kids love them....
