re: Which win was a bigger deal in Louisiana? 2003 National Championship or Super Bowl XLIV?

You do realize that LSU played those championship games in New Orleans? Do you know what the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana would be like if the Saints played in and won a Super Bowl in the Superdome? LSU's crowds and the amount of people in the city for those national championship gam...
To Louisiana, LSU is bigger than the saints
I would have agreed with this before the Saints actually won it. I will never forget driving home after the Super Bowl and seeing hundreds of cars in Academy's parking lot at 11pm on a Sunday just to get a Super Bowl Champions shirt, see...
re: BI and Willie had an exchange during Game 2 according to Shams
By who?
Every local guy who covers this team has said some version of Ingram did not like what Borrego wanted to install. Many of them have said that the team had to abandon Borrego ball before Christmas because Ingram refused to play within it's constructs. Christian Clark has w...

I wasn’t arguing anything. I saw a few people say that BI was a huge contributor to winning. I just supplied the stats to show exactly how much he has won here. I added the Zion stats for context. ...

Brandon Ingram's career record in games played with the Pels is 144-143, so technically it is a winning record for a .501 winning percentage. For comparison, Zion is 99-85 in his career for a .538 winning percentage. That would be about 10 more wins for zion over the same amount of games BI has play...
re: Pelicans are not expected to offer BI extension this offseason, moving in new direction

Something I have been thinking about that I haven’t seen anyone mention is what if BI demands a trade once we decline to offer him a max?
It hasn’t been brought up often but Willie benching him and choosing not to bring him back in against the Lakers in the play in was a big deal. He was absolu...
re: Windhorst says Philly is monitoring the Brandon Ingram situation

I am firmly in the trade BI camp. However, I don’t see any possibility of moving BI to Philly without a third team involved. Philly has nothing to make us better. ...
re: Trey: At the end of the day it’s not about money
I'm with you. I'm afraid we're going to overpay for Trey. $25M is a lot for a guy who can't initiate.
This is because you want to pay BI a max extension. Look at the stats with this team with Trey on the court. He impacts winning. His space is so important for our actual best pl...
re: Is this the last time we see BI in a Pelicans uniform?

Man, you are really going to die on this BI hill. BI was AWFUL. This is the kind of performance that can be career altering. He failed at literally everything. This was similar to Ben Simmons against the Hawks a few years ago. Dort destroyed him so much that he got himself open twice in the same mov...
re: How badly has this playoff series damaged BI’s trade value?
Posted by ThePistol on 4/29/24 at 10:42 pm
It just simply isn’t an option to have BI in a diminished role. This coach and this front office put him out there as the face of the franchise. This was BI’s team coming into this season. They catered the new offense to him to start the season. We all saw BI’s behavior with a diminished role in the...

re: The Griff Era: Fan Experience
Posted by ThePistol on 4/29/24 at 1:40 pm
You are discounting the role that Griff has played in the Zion situation. From forcing him to sit an extra month his rookie year, then the STUPID bursts that had no medical basis, to the whole "bubble" situation, to the out right lying to his fan base on media day 2021 about Z's foot, to the absolu...

You do realize that Halliburton missed significant time and has not been even close to the same player since returning with, wait for it, a hamstring injury!...

It must suck to be the last remaining member in BI island. Pretty lonely spot right about now. ...

BI has played 17 min. He has taken two shots, has 4 points, 3 turnovers, and a team worst +/- of -17. ...

I didn’t think they could call a foul that they missed. That wasn’t what was reviewed. I’ve never seen that before. ...

CJ at least gives it his all. I respect him for still fighting. Just caused a turnover and then scored. I would love to just see one sequence like that from the guy the organization has front and center in the murals in the practice facility and announces last in the starting lineup at home. Maybe t...
re: I’m excited for the offseason

I don’t understand the CJ hate, especially after we just had a sample of him being fantastic with Z with no BI.
Our clutch issues have stemmed from the team identity and hierarchy issues created by the coaching staff and front office going into this season. That, hopefully, will not be an issue ...
