Lots of colorful hairstyles.
Just watched part of the video. That back row looks like somebody threw a few Oriental Rugs in a wood chipper and they used what came out for extensions....
It used to be you could see up-and-comers on Tuesday nights and even a championship fight on Saturdays.
When I was coming up it was Friday Night Fights live from Madison Square Garden sponsored by Gillette. My dad, uncle JP and I would watch the fights on a 19 in. black an...
a radio announcer perfectly captured the moment by crying, "Oh, the humanity!"
I've seen that video many times and it's hard to believe that so many people survived not only the intense fire, but also the height from which it fell and just crumbled on itself when it did hit the g...
They are going to take away the belt from the obvious champion and put it on someone else that hasn't really earned it. Wouldn't they diminish their title?
This is the kind of crap you get when they have an "Alphabet Soup" of various sanctioning bodies that control boxing. J...

I like watching some 6 yr. out of high school former athlete who didn't even get a scholarship in spots try to go against retired pros. Reminds me of the "Married With Children" episode where Al is filming a sports commercial and gets beaned by Steve Carlton, used as a tackling dummy by Ed "Tool ...
I am actually a lot more surprised when NFL players don’t go broke. It’s the culture.
Same with a lot of retired boxers who earned huge sums of money during their careers. Mike Tyson earned $685 million in his career and filed for bankruptcy in 2003. Evander Holyfield earned ...
Was it trying to be accurate? I never got the impression that was the goal.
Obviously not, thus my comment. Neil Simon is a comedy writer for the most part and it reflects in so many of his movies. It's like asking Mel Brooks to make a movie about boot camp not make it fun...
If I never have to even pass through Atlanta again, that would make me a very happy man. The wife and I traveled through Atlanta a couple years ago on the way to a memorial for her younger brother who suddenly died of a heart attack. frick that entire interstate system that makes getting thr...

I found it entertaining even though not very accurate in the portrayal of boot camp during the WWII era-----or any era for that matter. In my opinion "Full Metal Jacket" nailed boot camp in that era of time with R. Lee Ermey as the Drill Sgt. and the rigors he put his recruits through....

That "TV World" one with Liberace made me laugh. What he'd want in a woman is all the so-called "Trans Women" of today's culture. You know, chicks with dicks. True story. One of my aunts loved Liberace and she absolutely refused to believe he was gay. Hell, even my 10 yr. old self knew ...

Daube. Slice it thick, make a red gravy and let it cook down for a good couple hours and then add the meat to cook down for another hour or more. I find the longer you cook a red gravy, the more mellow it gets and it's not as acidic. Eat that over pasta and make garlic bread and a nice sal...

re: Best trap for outdoor rats?

Check out the traps made with 5 gallon buckets half full of water, a wood ramp and a stiff wire from one side the top of the bucket to the other with soda cans skewered on it and covered in peanut butter. U-tube has a lot of videos on this type trap. Rodents climb up the ramp and try to access ...
woah you follow darts? I am a huge MVG fan. Do you play any in any local leagues or tourneys? Bottle is just nerves in general.
Been playing darts since the late 80's and played in various leagues over the years but stopped in 2013 when I needed rotator cuff surgery on my throwi...
drain on wire rack, not paper towels
Wire rack has always been my go-to for fried foods. Everything stays crisper when on a rack. No sense in letting them sit on paper towels that are soaked in oil. ...

re: Wood Ceiling choices?

Yep, T&G pine would be my choice. You can either stain and finish it with some type urethane or just finish it without stain, or prime and paint. Personally, I'd opt for unstained with a satin polyurethane finish to see the natural grain of the wood. ...
Are the daily "its hot" threads already starting?
I'm left wondering how many of those posters never had A/C growing up or attended school without A/C. I graduated in 70 and not a single school I went to from K-12 had A/C and lived in an old shotgun house that had no A/C----...
