I know it matters what position they play, i.e., middle infield, but how do you decide as a coach?
I get frustrated sometimes when an LSU opponent plays better defense and seems to have better fundamentals when we are more of a power team and rely on the long ball… but how do you decide? Once yo...

Looks like CJJ trying to get Tommy out of his funk. Not sure I like the new batting order but I trust CJJ with his decisions.
I personally would have put Milam 2 behind Bras leading off, Tommy 3.

Just too many holes in our lineup. Can’t string hits together. Rely almost entirely on the long ball. Bad at bats by some of the more experienced players as well…

I’ve seen far worse than that not called interference. He slid and stood up on the base. Didn’t impede anything.

If that is called interference, I wouldn’t know how to slide in the future. It was a perfect slide and didn’t interfere with anything. He was on the middle of the base....

3 or 4? I believe he may have swung at the first pitch on each of his three at bats. Usually don’t question Tommy but maybe make the pitcher work a bit more to throw a strike he can barrel up. Also seems a bit off when he does get a good pitch....

The only reason why they ran that play is because they saw how far off first Milam was getting on the first pitch. He should have never been that far off. They wouldn’t even have called the play had he been closer. I can’t think of one reason he should have been that far off first with bases load...
