re: Mizzou had their Spring Game on March 16th?
Posted by MizzouTrue on 4/4/24 at 1:21 pm
Worked out for us pretty well last time
Historically the spring game has not been a big deal up here, and no matter how good the team is, it’s hard to get Missourians to care about it

re: Is New Orleans considered to be “East of the Mississippi River?”
Posted by MizzouTrue on 3/29/24 at 1:26 pm
St Louis is across the Mississippi River, and most importantly also has the mouth of the Missouri River (the longest river in North America) which allowed for water travel west all the way to the Dakotas (the headwaters are actually in Montana)....

In Kansas City and Jefferson City, we say north and south of the river
St Louis and St Joseph are east and west
I bet if New Orleans was in Missouri, people here would say north/south of the river...

Thanks, I wasn’t sure
In Missouri cities we do it based on where the river is on the map. I was wondering about New Orleans because “East/West of the river” has been a notable divider/talking point in America for a long time...
Is New Orleans considered to be “East of the Mississippi River?”
Posted by MizzouTrue on 3/28/24 at 5:20 pm
Or do people just say that the city of New Orleans is north of the river? ...

Yeah Taylor seems like a Florida legend

A taller Cooper Kupp?
Cooper Kupp is 6’2 208. He’s bigger than McConkey...
re: How Crappy is Tuscaloosa?

Drink would’ve won a national title by now if he coached at Ohio State
Harbaugh has slowly sent OSU into decline. Zero titles for them since Harbs took over...

re: Why didn’t Saban wait until after Spring ball?

The successor would have to win 7 National Championships at Alabama to “upstage” Saban ...
re: Oklahoma and Texas... Will SEC welcome next generation of GREATNESS???

Those Big12 Championships weren’t SEC games

re: 5/6 Wild Card games were blowouts
Posted by MizzouTrue on 1/16/24 at 4:30 am
Nfl teams have been getting blown out for years in the playoffs
Talent and coaching matters
But I think wildcard really separates wheat from chaff. Soft teams aren’t advancing ...

re: DeBoer was an impressive 7-2 against ranked opponents
Posted by MizzouTrue on 1/12/24 at 3:12 pm
Winning close games against ranked teams points to him being a good coach
Washington was good but they aren’t talent laden like some SEC team
Give him Alabama talent and those close wins turn to blowouts...
