History would strongly suggest that Oklahoma is very much your daddy and will continue to be so. Why not first aspire to be your daddy and get you some trophies and then you can talk to us about the SEC. Your trophy case looks a lot more like the Aggies than the Sooners....

re: Is LSU in a decline?

When you think about it, in basketball, they are really a total mess. Maybe even hopeless. Football is much more of a gradual decline, but I think we're getting to the point where we can safely say, we're getting dangerously close to the Cholly Mac era....
It's crazy that Sam Houston had already been a Governor of a state before he moved to Texas and fought the Mexicans. Can you remind me of what state he was Governor of again before he went in and trounced Santa Anna?
In 1861, a state convention voted overwhelmingly to secede from t...

To be the King, you have to beat the King. ALABAMA will be quietly waiting for all the SEC wannabees per usual. ...
ABC is giving Georgia vs Clemson the noon slot. Meanwhile, Notre Dame and TAMU fight it out in ABC primetime. It's amazing how "noon" kickoffs have been given a brand new definition in the SEC. ...

re: What era was Peak SEC?

The obvious answer would be whatever team happens to have the most success. Now let's pull out that measuring tape and compare which team has the longest peak. ...
If OSU made a field goal in 2022 this entire thread is dead and gone.
You let Georgia have their way with you for an entire 4th quarter. And Georgia was a purely meat and potatoes O. Why can't Ryan Day's teams put a defense on the field? Or come up big in big moments? ...
Doesn't have to worry about violent Alabama fans coming for him if he loses a game.
Unlike the Cajuns who have just grown numb at this point. Les Miles > Kelly...
If you thought the Memorial was something, the ball is about to bounce off the greens like the old Superball commercials. ...
247: College football quarterback rankings: Top 10 new starters for 2024 season
It's like predicting that Will Rogers would lead the SEC in passing completions in Mike Leach's pass-happy offense. Scheme over talent every time. ...
As a lifelong Mizzou. This is what is coming.
You're like that dog that's been beaten too much. You're jumpin' at your own shadow. Why don't you just concentrate on winning something for a change? Drink had a good year in an average division. Now you've been gifted a great schedule...
But what Luka has done dragging scrubs to the finals and possibly an NBA title isn’t bragged upon at all like when Lebron carried scrubs through the EASTERN conference. Luka is a once in a generation
Luka is playing against one of those former scrubs in Kristaps Porzingis and could...
I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.
Ryan Day has his hands full proving he is that coach. He has had far more talent than Michigan and can't beat them. He hasn't won his division or conference in 4 years with nothing but blu...
I was happy to see Saban go for several reasons. His time for coaching had past.
Just take the poor guy's last 4 seasons at the Capstone. 1 NC, 3 SEC Championships, 3 Playoffs. The game obviously just passed the guy by. No University should be exposed to such failings. ...
Taking blame for a loss means nothing
Are you suggesting some type of corporal punishment is in order? Flogging, caning, beating, branding, maybe a little Code Red to get the blood flowing?...
