re: Dabo: “We just signed a whole class of guys transferring from high school”

The article I read a few years ago said Terry Don used to watch practices often at Clemson during Bowden’s era. Terry Don played at Arkansas with a close family friend.
Not claiming article was 100% accurate. Perhaps both Tommy and Terry Don wanted credit after Dabo did so well....

One of my friends in elementary school had a dad that was AD at USL.
He later was AD at Oklahoma St and Clemson.
I think he hired Miles at Ok St.
I know he gave Dabo the interim role at Clemson (and later permanent job) because he liked how Dabo interacted with his position players he coach...

Right wrist from car wreck at 18 years old. No surgery, just a cast.
Right hand Boxer’s Fracture playing basketball at 29 years old. Big thick guy was getting rebound and I tried to knock out of his hands but fist mistakenly hit his tricep.

re: Is there a documentary on the life and times of Jimmy Buffett?

He’s always had a lot of haters but I always liked the way he told stories while performing and changed lyrics to fit the place he performed.
I listened to You Had to be There many times in college at LSU in 90s (borrowed a bunch of my parent’s albums). The Coral Reefer band along with special g...
re: Next week is gonna be hot
Posted by litenin on 5/1/24 at 5:20 pm
Hoping that’s true but the OT convinced me it could be a repeat for another few years due to the Tonga eruption....

Also sometimes the OP will get downvoted into Bolivia (Iron Mike) but then someone will respond with the same general opinion and all upvotes.
I think a lot of people are more likely to downvote the thread starter as it’s in their curmudgeon nature....
re: Anyone here take Ashwagandha?

I’ve been taking for about a year. No huge obvious impact but hoping it helps with my somewhat low T.
Should be getting physical in next couple of months....
re: Is Jayden too skinny
Posted by litenin on 4/25/24 at 10:13 am
No, although every great running QB in college has to adapt to NFL and learn to be smarter about protecting themselves.
Drew Brees ran for over 500 yards in one year at Purdue. ...
re: Would you rather have a mountain house or beach house/condo?

Mountain house if proximity is same. However, I’d have to fly to the closest mountains....
re: What things in your life that you've done that probably not many others have done?
Posted by litenin on 4/15/24 at 1:42 pm
I could name a bunch of things but most are just random. Like playing tennis on the shoulder of Atchafalaya Bridge when stuck for hours due to wreck.
I was riding back to BR with roommate. After sitting there for 30 minutes and everyone turning off vehicles, I was asked if I wanted to hit some ...
re: How Can You Explain OJ’s Blood Found at the Crime Scene?
Posted by litenin on 4/12/24 at 5:08 am
I would think 98% of every race thinks he did it. Probably a similar % as people who believe the earth is round....
re: Is there anyone who actually thinks that OJ is innocent?
Posted by litenin on 4/11/24 at 5:04 pm
That night with the police chase was crazy. Everyone remembers where they were.
I kept up with trial but didn’t actually watch it....
re: Discussion at work: Is The Masters overrated?

It’s underrated as one of my favorite Saturday afternoon naps for the entire year.
I’ll watch on Sunday if there are big names in contention....

Was the statement from UL ‘real’? If so, were they only referring to the initial suicide or other incidents also?...
re: Up until 2022, NCAA WBB teams were not allowed to have tournament brackets
Posted by litenin on 4/5/24 at 2:32 pm
In about 2005, I changed jobs and participated in their office bracket. The woman who won it the year before was bragging that she was going to win it again. Everyone was telling her she just got lucky.
She ended up submitting the women’s bracket unknowingly so never got to defend her ‘champion...
re: Intermittent fasting linked to 91% increase in risk of death from heart disease, study.
Posted by litenin on 4/3/24 at 10:08 am
I’ll go about 18 hours fast a couple of times per week by just skipping breakfast.
Add in a 24 hour about once/month. I can feel the positive effects more for this longer time. I’ve read that testosterone production for males start to naturally increase after 18 hours.
I’ve wanted to try the...
re: I quit doing cardio
Posted by litenin on 4/2/24 at 12:33 pm
I also consider the higher intensity workouts that get your heart rate way up to be cardio. That’s been most of mine lately with lesser frequency of basketball.
I’ve always preferred the versions of cardio with more explosive movements and rest over endurance based....

re: For the married OTers, do you do girls trips or guys trips?
Posted by litenin on 3/29/24 at 9:17 am
Not a lot but definitely at times. My favorite is our annual fantasy football draft weekend in Toledo Bend. Golf, fishing, boat outings, drinking, grilling.
Everyone’s different though so nothing wrong with those that do not have friends or hobbies they like enough to spend the effort....
