Nah, not if you are building to the new flood elevations. Insurance at your neighbors height might be 3X what your elevated house is. I'd much rather tall house pad than stilts. ...

Starfish is the best food and good pricing IMO. Hurricane hole is greatly overpriced and shitty portions. Joebobs is the most overrated place on the island, it's not bad, but it ain't as good as people claim. ...
That aquarium is nice. When I went it was a private event so the place was pretty much empty....

Lots of the online places don't charge sales tax, and we are talking $100 here? Just get what you want. ...
The fishing. That is the beginning and end of the list. You can make the Louisiana food anywhere. Hell, the food board cookbook will get you pretty much settled for Louisiana food. Baton Rouge is a bigger shite hole than New Orleans, at least New Orleans has decent places to go and do thing...

I see starfish mentioned already, its the best place to eat on the island. Hurricane Hole is good but really too expensive, especially for what you get. I am a detractor here, but Joebobs food isn't very good IMO. Anywhere there is something hard in the water in Grand Isle there will be fis...
Its a bitch to get ozempic because of all the woman taking it for weight loss. It truly is a miraculous drug for diabetes. No insulin, 1 shot a week, A1C within normal range. ...

A Tacoma can pull a 21ft bay boat. A nauticstar 214 is only 1550lbs, even with trailer and gear you have plenty of margin for error....
I’m just wanting something small like 17’.
Well here is the first hidden cost... you will want a bigger boat. 17' is cramped. Most common used boat you will see in south Louisiana is a 21ft bay boat with a yamaha 150. I would recommend starting there. I would recommend glass ...

Geico looks to beat progressive right now, by a lot. I had progressive since 2014 and I recently switched to geico for auto because of the price hikes from progressive the past couple of years and it was WAY cheaper. I don't know who else I am going to get a quote from. These quotes are a PITA....

I know, zombie thread, but is there a way to make your own maps today? I was thinking the LA1 card bites. I had birds before so I never got into this but I will have a Lowrance on my new to me boat. ...
I prefer a hanger, hose reels suck and rolling one on a hanger is pretty easy. Maybe the Eley is worth $200+ but I will never find out. ...
Every charter I've ever been on has better gear than me
Really? That hasn't been my experience. Some have custom rods and nice reels but most have average at best rods and reels. Personally I want to use the guides stuff, let the guide clean the fish, etc. etc. Sure I love do...

I drive a 2009. Wife has a 2024. $32k is not getting you a Rav4 you would want these days. Look at the Mazda CX50, 0% and a much nicer car built in a co owned Toyota/Mazda plant. There are two lines but from all accounts the vehicles are built to the same standard. ...
You paid hundreds of $'s in a fine you didn't owe because you didn't feel like researching a sale???
It's not researching on your end that is the problem. It is the level of proof and getting that proof to the right people in the DMV. Some peoples time is more valuable that a few...
