re: Daily Cannabis Use Outpaces Daily Drinking in the U.S., Study Says
Posted by Sidicous on 5/22/24 at 4:36 pm
I vape all day every day, medical. I don’t even get high anymore it’s the side benefits of nausea suppression and appetite stimulation that makes a difference.
Before I got on medpot it had been a decade or longer without so much as a single puff. My health had crashed and I was down to 92lbs con...
re: Has anyone ever used a sanitizer light?
Posted by Sidicous on 5/22/24 at 4:20 pm
Hospital surgical areas use them including inside the air ducts. Being a department manager for a chain of 17 day surgery centers put me in meetings with plant/equipment updates from facilities management. One of the things they had to check manually was that the duct lights were back on after a pow...
re: Japanese Wisteria Tree - Any experience with these?
Posted by Sidicous on 5/22/24 at 3:59 pm
Lots of people have allergies to wisteria. Mom could tell when her aunts’ wisteria was in bloom from about a half mile away. They definitely make my nose run like a faucet....
re: Rapper Rylo Huncho shoots himself accidentally
Posted by Sidicous on 5/22/24 at 3:47 pm
Must be an oversupply of rappers issue. We all know there are plenty of shooters from the nightly news of hood shooting reports.
Damned shame that in a wealthy country rappers have to shoot them selves. Self correcting phenomenon though eventually....
re: Professions with most danger due to lack of sleep

The emergency lap chole that started my health collapse was the last night of the surgeon on call. He gave me the umbilical hernia repaired last summer finally and he tried to claim it was congenital (I used to spend summers shirtless for the most part and was always in tremendous shape as a track s...
Morning everyone.
NELA get your errands run early. My phone says rain begins at 1pm and goes through at least 4am. The local weather guy has forecast Monday and Tuesday with rain while other sources have bright clear skies those days. All agree between now and Monday is a pretty good chance for r...

re: Working with a bunch of sneezing idiots
Posted by Sidicous on 5/21/24 at 1:15 pm
I spent the last 15 years or so I was working in a surgical setting primarily. Sneezing was reason to leave the room. Rarely happened though as by the time the air gets into a surgical suite it’s been at least filtered several times (facilities even have uv lighting in the ductwork).

re: Today In Georgia, I Get To Vote Against My Republican US Representative Barry Loudermilk
Posted by Sidicous on 5/21/24 at 11:49 am
I don’t expect Pons to win, Loudermilk is entrenched and has about a half million cash on hand compared to Pons’ $15K.
But I’ll do my part in trying to elect a better Republican.
I would not expect much better if he somehow does win. A politically ambitious former military guy ...
All I know is it you pour a bunch of tap water in the pond over and over during a time of no rain it’ll kill them
The chlorine in the tap water is the killer. Chlorine is naturally a gas. For my fish I would fill a couple of buckets of water 3 days prior to the planned change/refil...
re: Fast food price increases since 2019

We did a LOT of road trips when I was a kid and we lived out of state while almost all the relatives stayed in La..
When inflation was up and food pricing was in flux we’d have sandwiches and chips in a rest area picnic instead of fast food. Even back then the savings were significant.

The ICC goes back a ways.
They tried to get after GW Bush and several members of his administration over Iraq. They also wanted control over Saddam if taken alive.
Overreach is the standard method of operation for the ICC....
re: Question for judges and attorneys...Where does your morality (if any) come into play ?

You are assuming facts not in evidence. Lawyers and judges have no morality....
Morning everyone.
Today through Memorial Day is cloudy with a chance of rain everyday. Cheer up though, it’s just a couple of weeks till high pressure dome formation and the hot dry weather settles in. I personally prefer the heat, can always find ways to cool off.
Not much else going on. Need...

re: Should Trump pull an EWE and not offer a defense?

So far the prosecution has yet to confirm that any crime was committed. Kinda hard to put up a defense for something nonexistent. So yeah, defense rests and files for dismissal w/prejudice....
re: Wife’s uncle is disrupting care plan for her father who has dementia

The spouse is still in charge.
The wife should have the uncle served by a cop a notice for trespassing and if he causes a scene have him arrested. It’s time to cut the uncle off from the family and cease all communication with him....
