re: What's your favorite Black Sabbath album ?
Posted by Grebe on 5/12/24 at 8:11 pm
Tough; I like most of the ones mentioned. I'd have to say Sabotage, for no other reason than Symptom of the Universe is just perfect.
Here is some lagniappe for you. A non-Sabbath album that is fun for Sabbath fans is the Nativity in Black tribute album. It has bands like Ministry, Iron Maiden, ...

re: Graduation gift for nephew

If jorts are not a consideration, then a nice pen or a pen and pencil set would be appropriate. Not cost prohibitive, he can use it at school, and it would be a nice thing that no college student would actually buy for himself....

re: Audubon golf catastrophe?
Posted by Grebe on 4/17/24 at 10:21 am
I've played it twice. The greens are dead. Two were so unplayable that they cut temporary greens into the fairway as an alternative. The staff person that I spoke to said that they got the okay from Audubon to spend money remediating the greens. With any luck, this mishap will lead to long-term impr...

re: Ruger vs SW 357 double action revolvers...
Posted by Grebe on 4/10/24 at 12:32 pm
The primary difference is the triggers. Try to dry fire both in double action if you have the opportunity. Some people have no preference, while others will prefer one over the other. Revolvers are expensive these days. That being the case, you may as well consider the Colts too if going up a price ...

re: Par 3 Course
Posted by Grebe on 3/8/24 at 1:58 pm
Audubon is an "executive" course. It has 12 holes that are par 3, and the rest are 4 or 5. Fun course. Also, there is something called the Harvey 9 on the Wank. I have not played it, but I think it is a par 3 that is next to one of the regular courses over there....
