Xavier was a super regional team last year and were on the verge of being Q1 wins going into the last weekend of the regular season. They played one of the hardest non-conference schedules in the country and that's even with late season rain outs against Kentucky and Oklahoma State. There w...
Not that it would make a huge difference, but I think we could be a little more strategic in the first few series of the year outside of that tournament weekend. Playing teams like VMI, Stoney Brook, Xavier, etc isn’t really helping you. In basketball, some coaches are good at manipulating RPI by sc...
I really wonder what the deal is with Hogg. Has a great profile as a big athletic kid. Wonder if he’s struggling hitting the ball....
I didn’t get to see all of his outings, but I was surprised that he was cruising in the low 90’s instead of consistently throwing 95+ coming in as a reliever. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s throwing something other than a 4 seam, he’s not throwing as hard as he could or if his arm isn’t capable o...

Ware is the guy I want. Right under 7’ with a huge reach, somewhat capable of spacing the floor, shot blocker. Filipowski, Missi, Holmes or Carter would be great gets too imo....
We aren’t the reigning champs this a new season - last year doesn’t matter
 yes we are, and the brand of your school absolutely matters. Just like it would if Kentucky or Duke was on the bubble in basketball ...
This is why there is 35% of teams with 13 wins....for teams that were hot coming in.
Also, it’s LSU that is the reigning national champs and the biggest brand in college baseball. They will pick us over Kansas state and Utah, I promise ...
I think like project says, development isn’t always linear. That’s a bunch of talented guys that are not proven at all in starting weekend games. We are at a point that we are just rolling out openers on Sunday just hoping we can get through the weekend. I don’t think Jay will go into next year conf...
Tiger heart says he just burns 10k calories per workout and it’s not his fault.. ...
I definitely think you can say that starting pitching is a hole, considering there is a lot of hoping that guys will come back from injury and/or be developed in to what we expect them to be. It will be interesting to see how he plays the portal with fielders, too. If you move on from Braswell, ...
I agree that Trae holds the ball too much but you dont average 11 APG by accident. Trae is a very good passer and distributor.
I think the point is that Trae Young gives you a different, but equally bad situation that BI gives you. He’s a stat hog that doesn’t play winning basket...
Yep. Based off the rule, it was clearly interference, but the fielders screwed up so much stuff leading up to it, it’s hard to blame anyone else....
Wasn’t tournament performance a significant factor in us hosting regionals when we were struggling at the end of the CPM era? I feel like we constantly heard from the national media about how we were playing our best ball and becoming a threat....
So does winning games in Hoover have no effect on your tournament resume? With the way people talk about having to win the tournament or bust, you would think so. I’d imagine that a bubble team making it to the finals or semi finals would be pretty significant ...
I'm intrigued to hear how an owner winning an election would have improved the sport.
It would make absolutely no difference, which is why making it a circus and alienating half the country that has a different opinion than you is putting culture wars over the sport. ...
If people don’t know, they are about to figure out just how lunatic the WNBA is. A couple years ago, there was an owner running for office as a republican and the players wore shirts promoting her democratic opponent. They literally care more about culture wars than the sport ...
2020 was considered a weak draft. Wound up having quite a lot of solid players and even budding superstars. You just never know. There’s intriguing prospects in this class. Just maybe not on the same level as classes like last year
I’m thinking the same thing, especially with bigs...
Who would we even target if we got into the top 5? Clingan?
Sarr, Clingan, Sheppard, Dillingham all fit easily with Sarr being the riskiest player of that group. Topic could be a fit too if his FT shooting is an indication of his 30% 3pt FG being fixable ...
I don’t think he ment it that deep… I agree with what he said about them being difficult to enjoy watching, considering we do nothing well and the players themselves seem disinterested. ...

re: Pearson leading off !

Pearson has the lowest OBP of any regular player. He might actually be the worst decision we can make at leadoff. It also made no sense in hitting him in the middle of the lineup, considering his batting average with RISP is less than .180. I’m just not sure where the confidence in him comes from....
