When I was a kid, it was milk. Every now and then I still have a glass of milk with pizza and it freaks the wife out.
I think it’s something about the acid in tomatoes that makes some of us crave milk after certain dishes. Pizza doesn’t trigger it for me, but chili and basic red sp...

Found myself in Omaha this week, so attended IU v Purdue and Nebraska v OH State tonight at Schwab field. There was a supposed to be a third game, but bad storms this morning and around noon delayed things.
There was a pic this morning of a dugout full of water. Play began at 4.

Stopped at Ocean Springs MS McDonalds at lunch rush and marveled at the arse-busting all-black crew working it. They were hustling like crazy, with the clip-on tie manager right in the middle of it.
I commented to the lady who handled my order that they sure were a hard working crew. She replied,...

A few years ago, a south Louisiana sheriff staged a bank robbery to help teach the bank employees how to respond. It’s a miracle the deputy/robber didn’t get shot by an employee or customer....
People who want it special need to order for themselves.
My brother was a picky eater who would have only meat and mayo on his burger. We rarely ate out, but at McDonalds my dad placed two orders because special orders do upset them.
We all got our food, then brother’s special ...

I saw an adult kickball game on ESPN, and they had the double first base but without alt the caveats, just touch it anywhere, and it counts.
I’d prefer leave it the same or do like kickball. Don’t further complicate the rules. Did he touch the white or the black? Here we go with more reviews and ...

I recognized several guys, many business professionals, on the list. One guy worked for a fed gov agency and used his work email.
I remember someone emailed me the list of Louisiana guys one Friday evening. Sat on the patio drinking beer, scrolling, and going “Holy shite! _____ is on the list too...

I recently encountered for the first time a Living Wage Service Charge. It was coded something like LvgWgSC 3.5%.
This was a hipster place in a vacation town. I chuckled at how the OT would react, but I tipped the lady over 20% on top of that; she was an outstanding and friendly waitress.

I recently drove on many miles of interstates in WY, SD, and Iowa with 80 speed limits, Northern stretch of the Indian Nation Turnpike in OK is also 80.

re: Ft. Morgan Alabama Beach Access and food

I think the beach itself is public and wide open, but access is another issue. We rented in a Gulf side Fort Morgan neighborhood. Our house had direct access to the beach, but there were just a couple of access points for everyone else and no parking/trespassing signs in everyone’s yards near those ...
