My grandpa flew a biplane for the US in France in WW1. He told me he carried little bombs in his lap that he'd drop on the battlefield. Mostly he did reconnaissance but that included monitoring battles in progress.
Wish he hadn't been so reticent. So many stories untold....

I have a customer worth a reported 7 B. His son wasn't interested in college. Dad was happy to let him go to trade school for HVAC....

After my aunt passed away, my uncle moved cross country to move in with his girlfriend, the widow of his best buddy. Turns out she was step sister to Col. Tibbets. He named the bomber he commanded after his mom, Enola Gay.
Some years after he died they had to dig him up and move him to unmarked g...

Not sure what part of Italy that influx is from. Read the great book Rising Tide. It covers the 1927 flood and many related things, among them the actions of a prominent politician in the Delta who struggled...
