re: Saltwater System in an Inground Pool Question

Your salt is either EXTREMELY high, or your balance of other chemicals are off. A salt pool is only 10% (3,000 ppm) compared to the ocean (30,000 ppm). Many pool "professionals" blame salt for deteriation of pool equipment or furniture outside. If you are getting your testing done by a pool store or...
Every four hours I add 16 ounces, until I use a gallon, then test again.
That is TERRIBLE advice. I can guarantee you are in the 6's now (BAD) What was your pH to begin with? 1 gallon of muriatic acid will lower my ph by 1, and that is 18,500 gallon pool.
Stop listening to pool...
re: Lafayette pool owners with pool boy

99% of pool owners issues with water chemistry is not following the free chlorine:CYA relationship. The higher you raise your CYA (TABLETS!!!!), the more chlorine you need to increase.
Check your ph once a week (keep in the 7s) and that's it. Yes Calcium Hardness and Total Alkalinity play a certa...

The important part of a SLAM is the M...MANTAIN. You cannot dump a load of chlorine in and expect it to take c...

id be interested to know how those cut pavers/bricks that are running perpendicular to the coping were installed. Were they set with each slab, or are they separated from each slab? If you lift 1 slab, will the paver rise with it, or is it independent? Its hard to tell where your joints are located...
