re: Valencia and Seville Spain neighborhoods

In Seville, I would try to book a place in the Casca Antiguo neighborhood. Its in the heart of the city, and an easy walk to just about everything. Another option is the Triana neighborhood, but you would want to be close to the river in that area - it borders the Guadalquivir, and the further you g...
re: Saints organization having serious cashflow issues....behind on payments for renovations,
Posted by pmacneworleans on 5/22/24 at 3:55 pm
Then they are deliberately withholding payment on bills just for the fun of it? Yeah, that's not going to fly regardless, especially with the NFL under fire for its owners constantly wanting public $ for new stadiums and renovations. ...

Been in Spain (Seville) for over 3 years, and have spent a good amount of time in Madrid, Barcelona and Porto.
In Barcelona, you need to visit the Banksy Museum - great way to spend half a day. Also, the Catalonia National Museum is fantastic and def worth a 4-5 hour trip. For food, highly recomme...

Was there, but the first, and second time, I saw them was in 1975 in Baton Rouge when they performed twice in one day to kick off their Tour of the Americas. The Meters opened for them. Hell of a couple of shows. ...

re: Three hours waiting at the ER (Update pg. 6)

Living in Spain for the past 3 years, I can say that you are dead wrong as to socialized Healthcare in this country. And we know several people from the US who travel here for health procedures because even with airfare and hotel rooms included, its much cheaper than the cost in the US. ...
re: Saints to sign DE Chase Young, per Rap
Posted by pmacneworleans on 3/19/24 at 8:31 am
They overpaid given the current status of the Saints. A one year deal at that number is usually done for a team that needs one missing piece for a deep playoff run. The Saints' are nowhere near a deep playoff run even after signing Young, unless he can also play guard and tackle on the offensive sid...
re: Chase Young visiting the Saints (and Panthers)

Reports are that he is at the Saints' HQ today. Sounds like no one is matching his salary demands so far. ...
re: Where do I go from Joe Pass?
Posted by pmacneworleans on 3/15/24 at 11:44 am
Make sure you dive into all three of the Virtuoso lps that Pass recorded. There's no one equal to him, but you might want to give Baden Powell a listen. Powell also has a large discography, and recorded solo and group lps. He's more in a bossa nova vein; likewise, also try Charlie Byrd.
For pure g...

Unfamiliar with that group, but Siberia is a small venue that typically hosts metal type bands. Crowd is sorta like a group of extras from a Mad Max movie. Its safe, but its different....

Been living in Seville for going on 3 years. Its a magical city. About a 90 min. train ride from Madrid. Just prepare yourself for different eating customs - dinner typically is eaten aroud 9-10 pm. Most restaurants don't open till 8:30 pm. Architectural beauty is everywhere. And the prices for most...
