Well he also called it playoffs instead of regional. Big retard red flag he put up.
A regional is a playoff. Four teams play, three are eliminated.
But for argument’s sake, let’s say is regional is by some technicality is not a type of playoff. That fact somehow gives you re...
LSU baseball might, maybe, somehow get in playoffs with an 8-3 finish?
Posted by paper tiger on 4/27/24 at 1:23 pm
LSU stands at a disappointing 6-13 with 11 games left. The remaining schedule is pretty favorable with 8 home games left (Auburn - 2 games, Aggies -3 games and Ole Miss -3 games) We play three games on the road at Alabama. The Aggies are the only team left to play with a winning record
Last ...
LSU - winner in the NFL draft according to NY Post - WRU
Posted by paper tiger on 4/26/24 at 6:35 pm
Winners and losers in the NFL draft:
[i]LSU: The three-way recruiting debate over Wide Receiver U. continues to rage. Ohio State and Alabama have plenty of alums starring in the NFL, but two more first-rounders (the Giants’ Malik Nabers and Jaguars’ Brian Thomas) joining Justin Jefferson, Ja’...
Scott Van Belt working the Masters tnmt…..

Van Pelt is under rated, that dude is butter. His narration of the shots is on point, and he does excellent interviews. He must be known as a good guy, all the golfers and other athletes he interviews seem less guarded in their answers because they think he’s a cool guy.
But I could be biased....

Oh no a grammer nazi!! Like i said your an idiot that probably never played a sport in your life. And if you did you didnt see the field 100%
Not my fight, but technically “spelling” is not part of “grammer”, which is properly spelled “grammar”. So the poster who commented on yo...
Holman can pitch
Posted by paper tiger on 4/4/24 at 7:19 pm
Holman’s velocity is average at best. I would bet most Friday night starters in the SEC are in the 95mph+ pitch range.
Holman just works the zone mixing speed, spin and location. I find it fun watching a guy excel without overpowering speed. ...
The biggest difference between Clark and Reese…

Two great players, no doubt. TV people are thrilled to see LSU Iowa rematch. It might be most watched women’s game this year.
The difference between Clark and Reese is if you asked someone who coaches Reese, they would answer Kim Mulkey. If you asked someone who coaches Clark, the answer wou...

Is it just me, or is the home ump a giant? I wouldn’t argue balls and strikes with him. ...
He’s been good all year lol
No he hasn’t. He struggled early on at the plate and had a couple errors in the field . Many people on this forum were down on him. I’m glad Johnson stuck with him. ...
Braswell has been….
Posted by paper tiger on 3/23/24 at 8:11 pm
Braswell has been quietly getting better as an all around shortstop. He’s no all star yet, or such, but his all around play has been solid so far. ...
Decent ump for a change
Posted by paper tiger on 3/23/24 at 7:39 pm
His strike zone has been a lot more consistent than most. ...

Holman is a grinder. He really mixes his pitches and he works the whole strike zone well. ...
Give me your SEC opener LSU baseball line-up
Posted by paper tiger on 3/9/24 at 8:43 pm
Here are the givens:
Holman: Friday night starter
Jones: First base
Milam: Second base
White: Third base
Braswell: Short stop
Kling: Centerfield
I assume everyone agrees with the above position starters. So that leaves right field, left field, catcher and DH.
I got Bingham in left,...
You mean like the one at the ankles that the ump rang up?
Just stop.

I thought he got the benefit of the doubt on one pitch in that inning that looked probably low to me.
But “just stop” what? You don’t think over the games this year that Holman has had elite control? A...

I was thinking I jinxed him as well, lol. But be bailed out me and my post by striking out the last three batters with a collection of precision pitches. ...
Holman has elite control
Posted by paper tiger on 3/8/24 at 8:39 pm
Holman is a strike throwing machine. He’s not nearly as hard throwing as Skenes, but his command of the strike zone is as elite a skill as is Skenes fastball. Thats not to say Skenes lacked control, but rather to say that control is just as much a skill as is arm velocity. Holman seems to be able ...

Playing Texas, I’m so ready for an apple to apples baseball game
Posted by paper tiger on 3/1/24 at 5:18 pm
Up until now, it’s been an apples to oranges baseball schedule. LSU has massively more resources than all the teams we have played thus far. It’s hard to know how good you are playing smaller programs.
Playing Texas is more of an apples to apples game, two elite college baseball programs goin...
