So first of all I am apparently late to the party on Turo. I just found out about it. I am getting a later flight and worried about being stuck in a long line for rental company. Is this normal for 9 pm and later at Denver airport? If I were to go with a Turo user with great ratings is this a better option than risking a long line at Denver airport. Welcome to any feedback here, especially regarding Denver specifically. TIA

Most rental companies have check-ins online now. If you do that you can skip the line and go straight to your car. I have used it with Avis, Alamo, and I think Budget.

I have used it at enterprise and they have a guy waiting at the bus drop off with an ipad. I think I have been in my car and loaded up within 2 minutes of getting there. Think you have to be an emerald club member (free) with enterprise.

Not Denver, but I used turo last month for a trip and it was way easier and cheaper than the national companies.

Liked it so much, that I'm using them again for a trip in July.

We rented a car in Denver last summer and didn't wait in a single line to pick it up. Use the app to check-in online and walk right to the car. The shuttle from the airport was quick also.

If you're an Emerald Aisle member with National (it's free), then you can bypass the counter and choose any car you want on that aisle. Huge time saver!

I always use Turo and love it. If you take the Rail system to Central Station or get to Downtown have a Turo pickup setup there.

I don’t like that Turo won’t let you see if you can return in different location. For instance, I want to pick up in Manhattan and return to EWR. I’m sure there is someone out there willing to let me do it but I can’t set up a search like that.

Become a member of the program you choose, and make your reservation directly. I have never used Turo.

With rentals and hotels, if there is a small discrepancy between your rental and your ID/CC, for instance, it'll make you go to the counter (John vs. Johnny). OTAs (CrapPedia, SliceLine, etc.) increase the risk of that happening, and when you arrive late, there will be one or two people at the counters working multiple people that also came in on your flight.

I flew into DEN a few months ago and sat for more than 20m having to wait in line (at the Avis counter, after a 20 m wait/transit/wait from the terminal), because my company travel portal left a letter (I think) off of my full first name, which threw a flag which killed my ability to walk straight to my car. That was Avis (I've had an Avis profile for 20 years.)

Anytime you fly in and need a rental car when a manager isn't on duty (probably after 1800), just assume that you're not leaving the airport within 30 minutes of collecting your baggage. You might, but you probably won't.

I’ve picked up and returned in different locations with a Turo. There is an option to search by vehicles that can be delivered to a specific address. I did that, then messaged whichever car owner I was interested in about returning somewhere else. It’s a round about what of what your looking for, but understand that it could be more streamlined.

If you have Costco book through them. I got a Toyota Avalon for $34 a day in Denver last time I went.

Get a car from Avis. You get off the bus and get in the car if you have their free preferred program.

I see the review above about the guy saying there was a long wait. The last two times I’ve gone I haven’t had to even go inside.

Don’t do budget. Lost two hours waiting in line one time.

I prefer Turo in Denver over rental companies. Very efficient there and you have to shuttle either way.

Yeah I’m trying to figure out the lay of the land at Denver international and it seems that you have to catch a bus either way.

Has anyone used Sixt out of Denver? Used them for the first time in Newark and they were pretty quick
