Just a FYI, they're offering a status match though May 7th for their Silver and Gold tiers.

quote:

If you live in the US or Canada, you’re a member of selected airline Frequent Flyer programmes and you’ve reached one of their highest membership tiers, we’re going to match your Membership level.
For a limited time only, you can take advantage of this offer to become a Silver or Gold Executive Club Member and enjoy more benefits when you fly with us.

Yeah, my United status just expired. I'm Platinum with AA but they don't do status match with AA. Bummer.

What? BA and AA are both oneworld. BA will recognize your AA platinum status and give you their oneworld sapphire equivalent, Silver, by just adding your AAdvantage number on BA bookings.
