So, I already have the television that I plan on putting outside. My biggest questions are, do any of you know what kind of bracket/hinge system would be best for maximizing viewing, and what cover should I buy that would give me 360 degree coverage for the tv from the elements.

Thanks in advance

I have two TV's outside. Both are mounted to the brick wall with a regular TV wall mount you can buy at Walmart. I don't cover them when not in use, and they have both been outside for three or four years with no issues. Standard Vizio brand TV's.

Maximizing viewing is all about controlling the direct and indirect light on the screen.

I buy the cheapest 55” TV I can find for my poolside patio. My 12 year, 3 TV experience, is that the cover extends the life of the TV by about 2 years on average. It also keeps the mud daubers off the back. I vote cover. Don’t spend money on an “outdoor” tv.

I have two TV’s on my screened in patio. Neither one are ever covered when not in use. I had to replace one of them last year. Both were mounted using cheap mounts from Monoprice. The one I replaced was probably around 5 years old

I’m in this boat. I have a tv for outside and the only real spot to mount is on back of my chimney where I’d have to remove shake shingles and look for studs to hold the weight. At this point I think I’m going with a small form factor projector.
