Docking station for 2015 MacBook Pro

Looking for a recommendation for a docking station for my older MacBook Pro. All of the new ones use USB C and this computer doesn’t have that port.
Should I just get a USB C adapter or is there a good docking station? This Mac has USB 2 and the ‘thunderbolt 2’ port. No HDMI.
TIA

They used to make some decent thunderbolt 2 hubs but they quickly became scarce once usb-c/tb3 took over. If you can find one it'll be expensive.
An adapter for a usb-c/tb3 hub won't work. The power, usb peripherals, and video will all be separate connections. There's no power delivery through the usb or thunderbolt 2, and you can't get video out of the usb port.
I have This cheapo usb and mini-displayport hub and it works. Only one external monitor though.
You can plug directly into the monitor (thunderbolt 2 accepts mini-displayport) and use a standard usb hub, as well but this helped keep it as neat as possible.
