This shite is wild. If we don’t land Caicedo, I doubt Lavia will be as interested knowing he’s second choice…and he’s the one who has said he wants to join us exclusively. Total shite show.

I don’t think you can bring him in at this point. It would really hurt the locker room and team chemistry. Save the $ and move on. Spend the next transfer window.

If we spend the same 110 on Lavia, a good CB and Andre to come in January, I would be fine with that.

I know it's not this simple, but while I think Caicedo is currently the superior player... the season may be better off if we take that £110mm and use it this way..

£20mm Adams (DM/RB) + £50mm Lavia (DM) + £40mm Ignacio (LCB) = £110mm

It doesn’t seem Liverpool want Lavia. I think if we did we would have paid the fee weeks ago. Only problem is we don’t have many options left.

I think they wanted him, but not at Soton's valuation... but now its getting crunch times and things change given options are running out..

Reports coming out now Chelsea are trying for Lavia and Caicedo...

They’re not getting both. Liverpool have not rescinded their agreement with Brighton for Caciedo, so Chelsea is playing games with Lavia to try to get Liverpool to withdraw from the Brighton deal.

If Liverpool end up getting neither, its nobody’s fault but their own for fricking around all summer doing next to nothing.

The moment it was clear Hendo and Fab were getting sold we should’ve been in Caicedo’s ear. He’s done nothing but assume Chelsea for months cause no other club was even rumored

If they strike out on both of these guys, I have a feeling there’s going to be a huge FSG Out sign in The Kop very soon.

What did FSG do that is wrong? They get all the blame but I think Klopp deserves some if not more of the blame.

We wouldn’t pay for Bellingham and now we offer this for Moises? Never thought Jude wanted to be in England. Side rant done.

Not sure fsg has kept us from doing anything.

Jude didn’t want Liverpool. And the transfer fee was not the total cost by far. Agent/family fees were huge for Jude. So people need to stop bringing him up at all.

We also had no idea Hendo and Fab were leaving and would still need a defensive midfielder.

Pure speculation on my end, but the back line not being addressed, at all, is one thing people could be mad at and then watching this circus trying to to get another person in the middle may be another.

It’s only a circus because Chelsea has made it a circus. Liverpool still has the deal in place. Chelsea has their mouthpieces in the media saying all kinds of ridiculous shite in an attempt to get Liverpool to withdraw. I don’t think they can out-bid Liverpool, or else they would have done it already. All of these reports are Chelsea and probably Caicedo’s agent trying anything to get Liverpool to blink.

So what’s everyone expecting to happen in the morning?

Given our recent history against Chelsea a 0-0 draw seems like the safest bet

But the stage is set for fireworks and peak drama. I think Mo continues on with his opening game success and finds the back of the net

Realistically we should be happy to get out of there with a point considering all the distractions of the last 48 hours. 3 points would be incredible
