Dennis will be a good signing if he keeps a positive attitude. He was known as a bit of a dickhead at watford.

If rumors are true with the reported recruitment being focused on midfield and defense then I’ll be happy.

Assume they will bring in an experienced striker, not some high profile guy. Just someone to do a job and not block the kids

Edit: surprised we haven’t heard any rumblings of EPL interest in Jackie yet

Yeah, seems to have said all the right things. Waiting for the new pods to drop to hear the reaction over there.

Does he have a voice that Michael can create an impression around?

No, the extent of Michael’s American impressions are a cowboy and some kind of New York mob thing.

What is the difference in responsibility between Steinsson’s title and Orta’s?

I think he’s gonna be just one guy amongst a team of guys so not one guy is tasked with recruitment. Then they’re trying to hire that guy from Brentford or someone else to oversee the department. I guess maybe like an nfl structure where you have a GM then all different types of player personnel guys and scouts underneath them.

This is what Graham had about it
quote:

The new face at Elland Road is Gretar Steinsson, the 41-year-old ex-Bolton Wanderers defender. He has been appointed as technical director so will oversee the club's football strategy. Leeds parted company with director of football Victor Orta late last season when the Spaniard and the board failed to see eye to eye over the decision to sack Javi Gracia and replace him with Sam Allardyce.

Maybe he will actually do the strategy part to help ensure everything hangs together, then other folks will be over recruiting at some point. Sounds like they are taking ortas job and making new heads or departments out of those responsibilities
quote:

Adam Underwood, who was previously academy operations manager, will be promoted to the role of football operations manager, running much of life at Thorp Arch, including team travel and working in conjunction with the coaching and medical staff.
quote:

Rob Price continues in his role as head of medicine and performance and Hannah Cox, based at Elland Road, remains head of football administration, taking care of player contracts and transfer legalities.
quote:

Nick Hammond, who had already been hired for a three-month stint as interim football adviser to take care of the transfer window, will continue to take the lead when it comes to player trading. Leeds chiefs are pleased with how the ex-Celtic and Newcastle consultant has handled a challenging window thus far and it remains a possibility that Hammond could stay involved with the club beyond his current contract.
