No way Cole Palmer was at the top of our list. MC didn't see him as a threat joining Chelsea. It's definitely a head-scratcher.

we have 3 strikers plus Nkunku eventually. you could certainly argue one of Washington or Broja should be loaned and maybe a veteran brought in, but i imagine they want to see what theyve got in Broja and Jackson specifically before making any moves at the position.

def missed on the Palace kid, Smith-Rowe, and Barcola.
one of our newer directors/scouts came from City, so at least theres someone there who knows what they bought.

Expensive for a MCFC 2nd tier player that’s unlikely to see much PT for us.

well hes certainly got a better shot at chelsea than city, all hes gotta do is be marginally better than mudryk or madueke to see plenty of mins. or carney. which is a low bar at the moment unfortunately. but yeah, big overpay.
