Man, Xavi was an even bigger crybaby bitch after that loss than Barça fans usually are.

The ref didn't get anything egregiously wrong, and Barcelona was ahead by 2 goals on aggregate when Araújo was sent off. If Xavi wants to blame somebody for blowing that tie, he should look in a mirror.

i thought the foul/ red was a bit soft, but why even put your hands up on the attackers shoulders?

So glad to see Barca get their come up after all those trophies they stacked due to dubious officiating back in the day.

UEFA had to go all the way to Romania to find an honest referee, but I’m glad they did. I think all of the calls were correct.
If City knocks out Real, La Liga will be holding bake sales to replenish the referee fund. An all French-English-German semi would be nice! But crazy that the Europa final could be better than the UCL, if Liverpool & Leverkusen make it.

Feels like Real is going to regret not starting Modric.

Their midfield is so loaded. I'm a big Camavinga-stan. With his athleticism and mindset, he should be good. Tchouaméni has card issues IIRC.

Fede is literally amazing. Better than Kroos/Modric these days.

It's between Kroos and Modric next to Fede. I think they like Modric off the bench if they need offense. He's a lot more dynamic as an offensive sub than Kroos.

Yep, they are loaded. And if it goes to PKs you definitely want Modric out there, so a sub makes sense.

But at Etihad? Just think he settles everything down, and when the lights are brightest he always seems to be the best player on the field.

Ya, and dont forget that Modric is 38. 4 years older than Kroos.

His minutes are limited even though he seems like an iron man.
