We can sell millions of lottery tickets and not only know the next morning the city where the ticket was sold, but the store where it was sold at.

But now our elections are sketchy af.

Follow the louisiana rule. All ballots must be physically at the respective registrar of voters the day before the election. They are then counted during Election Day and presented when polls close at 8pm Election Day.
It’s your responsibility to get your mail in ballot on time. It can be hand delivered or mailed but if it arrives on Election Day, it’s not counted
