It has nothing to do with any of these social issues that they claim as their cause de jour. After the fall of the of Soviet Union, Marxism changed their strategy from helping the poor and working class.
They are now using environmentalism and the oppressed vs oppressors to create centaralized economies. It's all about totalitarian control. None of these riots have anything to do with Gaza, Hamas, Israel, etc. They are all about gaining power through making people feel oppressed and fighting against their oppressors, who are white straight men.
I heard a funny quote the other day that environmentalists are 'watermelons'. Green on the outside and red on the inside.
