What is the Israel vs Hamas feud about

I know Hamas hates the Jews but what got it to this point? Stopped watching the news and already know we are wasting taxpayer dollars in Ukraine for the proxy war.

Nothing new really. People been killing each other over religion for thousands of year. Christians seems to start it.... radical muslims seem intent of finishing it.

LOL. I’m not going to sit here and say Christians have’t done some shitty things. But this has been going on in that part of the world since Old Testament times.
The people there just refuse to get along. So let them fight it out. We shouldn’t be involved

It’s multi-fold. It’s a religious war between muslims and Jews. Islam says that any land that was ever controlled by Muslims can never be controlled by anyone other than muslims. It’s a never-ending war between the seed of Isaac and Ishmael. It’s a spiritual war - Satan hates the Jewish people because they’re God’s chosen people. He also knows that the Jews’ being back in their ancient homeland is a major prophetic sign of the soon return of Jesus Christ.

I feel ya. Everytime I try to read up on this stuff, I get tired two minutes in and give up.
My fleeting readings indicate Israel did indeed.... "dis" people almost a hundred years ago, taking land. But, shrug....none of that will be reversed. NEVER. Palestinians are fighting a losing battle, regardless whether their position is "righteous".
Apologies for conflating Palestinians with Hamas, but it's all a never-ending shitshow.
Further (apologies, surely I speak with ignorance), I recoil at discussions of Israel/Palestine because it makes me think of Kosher/Halal dietary habits. I can't respect such OCD eating habits, so end of day I find myself giving no fricks about either group. It's just silly. Joint near me gets good ratings for the food, but their website yaps about their "halal" wings, and no.... not gonna support delusional beliefs.
