Unionization efforts hit the wall in the Heart of Dixie

The UAW lost a unionization vote in Alabama today.

Of course, if you google this, you'll fine 100% leftwing "news" in your search results.
This is good news for those in Alabama, and hopefully a wake up for the UAW/DEM inroads into conservative states.
Unions are only work for Union bosses and Dem party leadership. Workers end up paying more for less.

This makes not even a wisp of common sense, or fairness. Why shouldn't workers be able to form unions, to negotiate wages, benefits, safety requirements, hours and overall working conditions?
What is the state of Alabama thinking nowadays?

@gaytarzan...That we don't want to become beholden to the Biden mob boss and rust belt reality of the post industrial North East.

Maybe they don't want to lose their jobs to Mexico?
Unions only exist for the benefit of the unions.

Union bosses are notoriously corrupt and in bed with the Demacommies.

Wages are negotiated during the interview/hiring process like every other job on earth
Benefits are no guarantee for any job on earth
Safety, hours, and working conditions are covered by OSHA
Why are auto workers so special?

Perhaps they don’t want their jobs shipped outside of the country, like is currently happening with several UAW strike affected companies.

Unions are like a parasitic tapeworm that eventually will kill its host. Why anyone would willingly join one or vote for one baffles me.

This isn't the 1920s. Employees can negotiate by just leaving and finding work elsewhere.
No one is being forced to work like 100 hours a week, or frankly even half of that.
The working conditions are they get to work in a climate controlled facility that has excellent cafeteria ( from what I'm told).
Safety requirements? Safety is always paramount at any facility I've ever been in, and I've never been in a union plant.
It's not like the Employees are handling razor sharp knives with greasy hands all the while ingesting asbestos.
Adding the union to MBUSI would have improved exactly nothing.
Unions nowadays are just an extension of the Democratic socialist party. And that's why youare upset they lost today

The pieces of shite at AL.commie are on full meltdown as usual.

1819news. com > al.com Al.com is commie propaganda.

There are plenty of unions in this state. What the workers here don’t want is bullshite in Detroit fricking up the good thing they have going on here.

Good Lord. Just say you take on gay lovers and make bad decisions

I guess you can be subject to the whims of the corporate overlords as an alternative.
Posted on 5/17/24 at 11:15 pm to KiwiHead
Unions are corporations and they only really work for the union overlords, aka Dem/Union bosses.

People don’t understand how it actually works. Instead of 1 person going to their boss asking for a raise, it’s negotiated every 2 years. What’s also negotiated is what the contractor is responsible for and what the labor is responsible for.
If you hate unions, don’t bash Nike for using sweat shops in china. Business would do that here if they could.

I'll assume you are saying the union should be forced on not only MB, but also the workers that voted it down.

Unions have been great for Detroit!
