Trump is slowly changing the 9th circuit and saving America

A new vacancy on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is giving President Trump a new opportunity to alter the DNA of the once-famously liberal court. Judge Carlos Bea is intending to take a step back and claim senior status on the Ninth Circuit, opening up a spot for a new full-time active judge. One possibility for the position is Patrick Bumatay, currently a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of California.

Should Bumatay be nominated and get the job, he would be replacing another Republican-appointed judge, as Bea joined the Ninth Circuit after being nominated by President George W. Bush in 2003.
But Bea’s departure from his active role on the bench gives Trump yet another chance to put his mark on the court. Trump has already placed six judges there, bringing the total number of Republican-appointed judges to 11. Bress, if he is confirmed, would bring the number to an even dozen.
At the end of the Obama administration, there were 19 Democrat-appointed judges on the Ninth Circuit, compared with 16 now. There are two more vacancies yet to be filled.
The Planed Parenthood ruling made me look it up. By 2020, Trump and the turtle will have added 8 conservative judges to the 9th circuit. That would make it 16 liberals and 14 conservatives. That might be the biggest win of them all.

It’s time someone fundamentally changed America, for the better.
God Bless this man.

What level chess is this?!?! Bumatay is a minority (Filipino) and openly gay. Should be fun watching the crazy california witches oppose him.
Question is: is he a constitutionalist?

They already did. Apparently the Ca senators do not want gay judges.

It may be the only thing that will reign in the left coast, and end the pure lunacy that has been taking hold. If judges start slapping down stupid shite cases of the special interest, then just maybe it will start to subside.

It will help but I think that the west coast is already gone.

It's a highly intelligent policy initiative. Only a small fraction of cases ruled on by the Circuit Courts of Appeal are heard by the Supreme Court, so the Circuits are generally the last stop for most federal constitutional cases. You could make an argument that the Circuit Courts of Appeal are more important than the Supreme Court in most areas of law.

Add that to Thomas telling them to get their shite together and we are seeing quite a change in rulings out of that joke of a circuit.

Exactly. That is why I said in the OP that this might be the biggest win of them all. A more moderate 9th circuit would go a long way to reigning in the democratic people's republic of California.

truth
the only reason the left gets away with its lunacy is activist judges rule in their favor contrary to the law and their sworn duty to rule only based on the law.
the only remedy sane people have to stop liberals from violating our rights and the law is the courts and if the courts won rule objectively based on what the law is and instead vote on "feelings" and their support of activist causes, then you have no remedy to oppose them
