NEW: More data on how significant the drop in illegal crossings in Texas' Del Rio sector (Eagle Pass) has been since TX locked it down and MX increased their enforcement. Per CBP sources: 71,048 apprehensions in December. 16,709 apprehensions in January. 76% decrease in 1 month.

NEW: The large majority of illegal crossings at the southern border are now happening in AZ & CA, as a shift away from TX continues. Per CBP sources, over the last week of January, Border Patrol apprehended 32,809 illegal immigrants. 23,576 of them (71.8%) were in AZ & CA. Notably, the numbers in TX’s Del Rio sector, which includes Eagle Pass, have fallen off a cliff. In December, the sector saw days of 3,000-4,000 illegal crossings per day. Over the last week, it has averaged around just 200. This is happening due to two reasons: Texas has locked things down on their side of the border, and Mexico has increased enforcement against migrants arriving in the MX state of Coahuila following Sec. of State Antony Blinken’s visit to MX in December. Mexico is now suddenly stopping migrants from boarding trains, and is removing migrants from their northern border down to their southern border following that meeting. And the migrants who do cross there now find a very unwelcoming posture from the state of TX with legions of soldiers, troopers, and razor wire, & threat of arrest. It is unknown what the US offered MX in return for this cooperation. However, the Mexican government enforcement has not happened in other areas of the border, and Border Patrol’s San Diego sector and Tucson, AZ sector are now seeing the most activity. For instance, yesterday, CBP sources tell me there were 5,240 Border Patrol apprehensions of illegal immigrants at the southern border. 3,854 of them (73.5%) were in AZ & CA. (None of these numbers include CBP ports of entry/CBP One App or gotaways. These are only recorded Border Patrol apprehensions).

Just like electricity and current flow.....path of least resistance.
California and AZ are where the flood of illegals should be going. The Dim voters in both states have shown they are sympathetic to the plight of asylum seekers from every nation, therefore, the Dim voters in CA and AZ should house and feed these asylum seekers.

Texas just proved without a shred of doubt that the Biden regime is engaged in a clear dereliction of its duties and most likely treason.

This won't be reported outside of conservative outlets. Liberals deny the border being a problem worse than they accuse conservatives of denying climate change.

They should go to sanctuary states and stay there until deported or killed by gangs.

Hopefully with the help Florida is sending along with other states that number can be improved further.
Leadership.

Curious how shady our customs and border patrol are. Anytime there’s attention it settles down.

They should be flying them to Somalia...

Texas took over a 1-2.5 mile park area. LOL what a joke.
Take over the entire border. Every county should send 25% of its Deputies to the border. All State Troopers should be sent to the border. All Texas Rangers should be sent.
Governor Abbot should immediately increase the Texas Rangers by 200% and the State Police by 200%.
Governor Abbot should stand ready to deputize veterans, any military service members that recently got out of the active service, recently retired police officers, retired firefighters, etc.

Great to see, but as a TX native, why didn't thes occur 2-3 years ago?

This should have been done a couple years ago. I know and I agree.
What and who is now inside of our country? Im afraid that decent Americans will pay a horrible price for this dereliction of duty. Im just sad and hoping I’m wrong.
Take what I sad with a grain of salt. I’m just concerned.

Sentry guns every 200 yards or what ever would create overlap. Problem solved.

China already had them here IMO, but if we ever get in an actual shooting war with them we will have an outright terrorist menace on our hands.
Power plants, bridges, rail lines, water supply and all of our soft targets would all have to be defended while all the armed forces we can muster will be trying to deal with them and unable to help domestically.

So is the reason they just skip NM because there is nothing there and they will die in the middle of nowhere?

More than that. It should have been done 20 or 30 years ago.

Yes. If this trend can hold up long term there is no doubt about it.

Wait Texas shut down the border without congressional help? Potatojoe told me this wasn't possible.
