I’m convinced they took down the mob so they could steal their business model.

NYC has been crime-ridden for its entire existence. The 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s were especially terrible despite the prominence of organized crime during those decades.

Same goes for Nola. I know a former Louisiana Supreme Court justice pretty well. I saw him getting his bow worked on last deer season and we started talking Nola. I lived there for a long while, and we discussed how it had changed for the worse. He openly admitted Nola was a better city when the mob had more control.

New Orleans, and the state of Louisiana just accepts corruption as normal. Its been that way since Huey Long. I'm sad to say that I was born and raised there. It's down right an embarrassment. Last in everything they want to be first, first in everything they want to be last. There are some really smart, nice people throughout the state. Unfortunately, the idiots have always voted, and put them in charge. That, my friend, will never ever change. Take for instance, all this crap going on with Latoya and Vappie. I wish someone would step up, and just indicte one or both of them, and roll the dice. To hell with the consequences, and deal with that later. She is basically flipping off the feds, the city, and everyone who's against her. Of course, she'll pull out the race card, like all the leftist loons do.
