Another word that apparently no longer has a meaning.

Yep.

Grew up around farms, never saw anyone kill a dog because it was "untrainable."

Thats not how most of us are wired.

You're not the only one who's ever lived on a farm...

So totally justified in putting the dog down

Can't have a dog running around killing chickens/farm animals or trying to bite people

But we don't need to know this happened

If your dog is running around, killing your neighbors chickens, that's your fault.

Being an avid hunter, I'd venture to say hunters are often Sal of the earth, convervation minded sportsmen with deep rooted heritage and traditions and respect for nature. Douchebags like that are the anomaly. At least in the circles I hunt and travel in.

Exactly, pretty bad political instincts.

Even though Obama ate dog he did not suffer any bad press because the press covered it up.

& you put the dog down like she did as well as pay for the chickens

Why is everyone crying about this?

No different than an aggressive pit bull that got loose and killed a neighbors pet and tried to bite someone. You put it down

Never known people that did this, out of inconvenience.

I detect some sociopathy in Ms Noem.

It's obvious a lot of you guys didn't grow up in the country. You don't tolerate a dog that bites the hand that feeds it or that kills your farm animals. Liberal here bashing her because she put a dog down that deserved to be put down but will fight to your death to be able to kill babies.

How do you think we got the dog breeds we have today? It might not be something you bunch of soft hearted panseys want to hear. You have to weed out the undesirable traits to get the looks, drive and temperament in a breed. You don't want to pass on negative genes.

So you are totally ok with your dog killing someones farm animals and trying to bite you while you attempt to break them up?

Newsflash here in the real world not everything is trainable and animals can & will turn on you & you put that animal down

I wouldn't shoot my dog because I fricked up. It's really that simple. She's a moron, and the dog paid for it.

Keep pretending that you're the only one who's ever had working dogs...

I do suspect I know why you're so eager to defend this, and it's not because you're just "country."

Totally agree.

I'm not judging if her actions about the dog were right or wrong.

That said, opening her mouth has set up a situation where the media will never let the public forget.

She will be painted as cruel, deserved or not, like Romney and his dog on the car roof.

Her national-level political career is over.

What would you do if it then decides to jump on and bite the neighbors kid?

Blame the kid?
