He was a big reason why Exxon got their tax exception rejected and cried about it saying they would not expand in Louisiana anymore because of it. That called Exxon’s bluff and they announced large investments anyhow. All we do is give these companies large exceptions for them to turnaround and have layoffs. Corporations need to pay their fair share and maybe we wouldn’t have to. I’m not saying anyone needs a “handout”.

Republicans have no leadership and JBE has done something to keep Scalise and Kennedy on the sidelines.

Both. Weak competitors and has run a good term. I am unsure of the desire of voting wealthy individuals into office in Louisiana. Louisiana politics are corrupt enough, do we need Rispone who owns ISC to run our state? I'm sure there are no self interests in it for him. Edwards has made some great strides imo and would like to see him serve again.
In four years what are the great strides?
Medicaid Expansion
Raised taxes to produce enough revenue such that budget cuts were not necessary
Anything else?
There are fewer people, no more jobs and higher taxes. Great strides?

I guess you like your taxes increased while corporations continue to get lower tax brackets. People forget how much of a break these corporations got on their tax brackets during this reform.

Are we to assume that you are talking about the $500mm investment at their BRPO facility?
Because you are obviously not talking about the $2B expansion they are doing to double the capacity at their facility in Baytown, TX. The expansion will make it larger and more advanced than the BR facility. You know the one they announced the month after the BRPO facility investment, the one that they were eyeing Baton Rouge for before the ITEP chaos.
Or the $10B dollar grass roots facility that they announced shortly after in Corpus Christi. You know the other huge investment they were eyeing Louisiana for prior to JBE "calling their bluff" as you say.
Of the $20B they are planning to invest over the next 10 years, they have announced ~$13B. Of this $12B is now in Texas. But woo hoo we "called their bluff" and they are still spending $500mm here. How about we fix this mess before we lose out on the remaining $7B.
"Called their bluff". I swear some of you don't have a clue about business or money once it gets a couple commas in it. $500mm to keep a facility profitable is not in the same stratosphere as loosing the jobs and taxes $12B would have created.

What’s up with the word”gubernatorial”?

Do you understand that Exxon directly through sales taxes and property taxes contributed 10% of the EBR budget. ONE company contributed 10% of the budget directly. Then take into account that roughly 1 in 10 jobs in EBR are directly or indirectly tied to Exxon BR. All the money those people spend, sales tax paid, property taxes paid,...
The problem is that "takers" can't comprehend anything past the "oh well we gave them a discount...they should pay more..." mentality.
So because of the ITEP denial EBR will get an additional whopping $290k per year for 10 years, instead of all the jobs and taxes revenue the $12B in investments would have generated. Crap like this is why Texas loves being our neighbor, they get to laugh all the way to the bank.

Gubernatorial is just the word for "relating to a state governor or the office of state governor"
