Eddie Jindal's negative attack ads pushed away about 6% of the votes from Abraham and about half of those were north La democrats that have returned home and are voting for JBE. Which put JBE on the verge of winning this thing in the primary.

How do you know that?
JBE was running the same attack ad.

The polls showed the bump of JBE not after the JBE but after the rispone ad. Regardless most of abrahams support went to JBE not to liddle eddie. Sad!

I’m not a big political guy. I’ve voted republican and Democrat over the years but no way in hell I’d ever vote for Eddie Rispone after watching the debate. This guy is a clown but a business clown... geezzz

And We let Angelle and Dardenne get away with bullshite like that because Louisiana is a red state and surely there was no way Vitter would lose the runoff to a democrat. We took the whole situation for granted.

You’ve said this many times, but was that really the case? Every single poll done in 2015 had Edwards beating Vitter in a hypothetical runoff. Around the same time that polls showed JBE and Vitter basically tied in the primary, they had JBE winning in a runoff against him. It shouldn’t have been a huge surprise that Vitter wasn’t going to automatically pick up all the other republican votes in the runoff.

One poll taken after JBE drug Abraham in the mud snd taken at the same time Rispone started his attack. Check the timeline.

My great uncle was very high up in the La democratic party from the 1950s to 1980s (high up enough that he would have been sitting in a cell next to EE he if had not passed away in 1995), my family is still tight with Francis Thompson and his crew, and that put me in contact with a lot of young democrats during the year that I was a political science major at LSU.

According to my sauces, the La dems were trying to keep from shitting their pants because Abraham was sure to carry enough of the north La democratic vote to win in a runoff if he solidified the republican support. JBE has been attacking him for months and it was not registering with the people that they were concerned about voting for Abraham. However, once Rispone's ad started running those voters started to come on back home. JBE and the dems entire strategy had been to avoid a runoff at all costs now they are starting to feel confident that thanks to Rispone they might just eek this thing out.

FYI, it was my exposure to the corruption of the democratic party in north La growing up that made determined to never vote for a democrat in my life.

I was texting some of the north La democratic people that are running JBE's campaign and they were cheering for Rispone just as much as they were cheering for JBE. One of them that was a student aid to Francis Thompson back when we both at LSU and is in the JBE campaign called Rispone a God send for JBE. Another is the daughter of democrat running for state representative from north La and she said that her mother's campaign felt a lot better about JBE's chances now than they did before Rispone shot inside the boat.

The only thing that keeps me from thinking that Lyin' Eddie is a democrat plant is the fact that he is spending his own money, but it would not surprise me if the bidzness man had some sweet contracts lined up with state just as soon as Honor Code is re-elected.

I don't think it's going to matter, as weak as JBE's opponents are.

My sauces in the La democratic party think otherwise. They are scared shiteless of either one because of the Trump effect. They are praying that Rispone's attacks hurts Abraham enough in north La that JBE can squeek by and avoid a runoff.

Abraham is fine in North LA. Attack ads aren't going to hurt him up here.

What's going to hurt Rispone is when the north stays home in the runoff, if we even get that far.

Yeah, that'll show em!

Truth is, both these republicans are awful. However, both are many times less awful than the guy in there now.

That is WAAAY off.

Besides putting in his own money he has the support of Lane Grigsby who puts a LOT of money into conservative cause (Pelican Inst, LABI, etc). Grigsby cannot stand the governor (well his policies, I don't know what he think about him personally).

Grigsby and Rispone might be making some tactical errors (but even with that we will have to wait and see). The are definitely 100% for getting rid of JBE.
