Israel reacted with a mix of concern and fury Thursday to President Joe Biden's warning that he would cut off weapons to the U.S. ally's military if it moves forward with a full-scale assault on Rafah, the city in southern Gaza where more than 1 million Palestinians are sheltering.

The threat, which marked a shift in Washington's public approach to the war, came after the Biden administration halted a shipment of bombs last week amid concerns over Israel's plans to invade Rafah even as cease-fire talks continue with Hamas. The U.S. has long supplied weapons to Israel, and Biden's warning follows months of growing tensions between the two countries and as the president faces domestic pressure to take a harder line on the war.

Israeli officials appeared in little doubt that the fallout could have far-reaching consequences.

The country’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, said the U.S. pause was “a very disappointing decision, even frustrating.” He suggested in an interview with Israeli Channel 12 TV news that the move stemmed from pressure Biden felt from both Congress and U.S. college campus protests.

“Israel will continue to fight Hamas until its destruction,” Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Israel Katz said on X in an apparent response to Biden's threat. “There is no just war like this one.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refrained from directly commenting on Biden's remarks, but on Thursday afternoon, he reposted a video on X from a speech he delivered earlier this week saying: "If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone."

Members of his far-right government were quick to express their outrage over the threat.

Right-wing National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir issued a short but scathing response in a post on X. “Hamas ?? Biden,” he said. His office did not immediately respond to a request for further comment from NBC News.

It really is a genius move to not deliver precision weaponry that limits civilian casualties to kill terrorists while incentivizing terrorists groups to capture and kill hostages while extending the war he wants to end all so he can bump his chest to a bunch of retarded 20 year olds that won't even vote for him.

I think this is all theater, Israel has more than they need to turn Gaza into glass. That said, Biden is doing a masterful job of making both sides mad.

Don't get me wrong, everything they do is for the circus show and those weapons will still get delivered. But the strategy is as cowardly as it can get. The sad part is people in the U.S. will endorse it and run to the polls for more of it.

Carpet bomb the city with gravity bombs. Kill as many of the enemy as possible. Blame it on Biden.

Holy crap man. Chill out.

You're essentially advocating for a nuclear war in the Middle East.

Why can't Israel make their own bombs from all the Intel they have stolen?

They should be rich enough to not need anything else from us.

The average American has zero idea just how many years further ahead Israel is in cyber warfare and cyber defense over the United States. Israel could pull those defensive shields protecting the US thus putting the US in a perilous situation if we are cyber attacked.

It also likely spells the end of Israel purchasing US military equipment and on shoring its military manufacturing even more than they have over the last decade. Israel already does over $18 billion a year in sales so this would royally screw over the US defense contractors who Israel has been forced to buy weapons from over the last twenty years. Israel under this scenario would likely become one of the largest military equipment manufacturers in the world in the next five years. The US has aggressively tried to stop Israel from building their own military hardware to the point where they pushed down incentives to tie Israel by tying them to US military industrial complex to thwart them from hurting our domestic military manufacturing.

And more importantly it really hurts the US’s hypermissile efforts since Israel is the global leader is this space.

It sends a message to Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt that the US is aligning with Iran going forward.

Yep. Now Israel will have to use conventional bombs, which are not precision weapons, and civilian casualties will certainly increase. This is all on you, PedoJoe.

Any restrictions they agreed to were under the agreement that US aid would continue.

US aid being discontinued means that whatever the US wants is now irrelevant.

The Manhattan Jews who lamented our involvement in Middle Eastern wars will be furious that their most favored country can't do the same thing they hated America for doing.

Remember when former Defense Secretary Robert Gates said of Biden "I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades” ? Well, he wasn’t joking and he wasn’t exaggerating. The only revision to make to that quote is it’s now a fifth decade.

Biden is the hand puppet for someone else, be it Obama, Susan Rice, or Soros doing this.

Obama was buddy buddy with a big name Palestinian academic IIRC.

Susan Rice is close with Iran.

Soros is just a horrible piece of shite in general.
