Is there any historical evidence of diversity working out?

History is a great tool leaders and societies can use before implementing large scale, sweeping changes to a civilization. We have all been hammered over and over again for years about how wonderful diversity is.

But couldn't they at least provide receipts of this being a successful strategy to build a high functioning society that creates human flourishing and harmony?

Is there any examples throughout time we can go back and look at, to make as a comparison? Or do our rulers simply believe they have entered into a new "age" of humanity, where the old rules are out the window, and the new, modern man can overcome our own nature?

Diversity is a misnomer. A typical Democrat “redefining” of a concept.

Workgroups and societies that have diverse perspectives and experiences can thrive, but forcing diversity by race/gender/sexual orientation is toxic.

Salad bowl diversity won't ever work.

Melting pot diversity has a chance but oddly enough it is because the melting together blends out the differences.

Disconnecting collaboration from lineage has proven to be one of the most powerful and positive social advancements in human history

But beyond that, no, I’m not sure that it’s helpful to force people to be together just because they are different. Successful collaboration requires mutual choice, not threats of force

The problem is diversity for the sake of diversity....oh, look we got white guys and gals, black guys and gals, Hispanic types ....Asian types and we have gay people and guys who used to be girls and girls who used to be guys.

Why? Because, well..... hmmmm......

In the past immigrants came here wanting to be a part of a political philosophy, and with hard work, anyone could have the American Dream. They wanted to be Americans.
The gate crashers we have coming here today have no interest in the American Dream, and no desire to be American.

Diversity of thought is always good for problem solving.

Like Democrats do though…they change the term to mean less white people. Had a NASA boss hire 5 black guys from his fraternity and preach diversity. Lol. “We’re smarter and stronger as we become more diverse.” Yea, right…instead of hiring some smart Asian or Indian men/women…your HBCU cronies are the picks.

Yes. America.

Have you ever watched the Olympic teams come in for opening ceremonies?

Say what you want about the state we are in, but would you rather be in El Salvador? China? Japan? Iran? Nigeria? India?

All in all, the US is more diverse and more successful than the rest of the planet - especially those with homogeneous populations.

It only works if you maintain meritocracy. A range of ideas and opinions is helpful to come to the best solution sometimes.

We’re now told all ideas and opinions are equal and we should apply a rainbow of opinions and solutions. Worse than that. Now we’re told the perspectives and track record of success is bad and we should really only apply the inferior methods because white people are oppressors

Diversity is and has been a weapon to weaken our nation, homogenous nations have the best chance to be strong.

Depends on the level of differences. Just look at the history of the English Isles. Many different peoples lived and fought over that land since before the Romans. The Norse threw their hat in there as well. The UK has worked pretty well from 1707 until recent times where people with more radical differences are being brought in.

UPenn has a kickass lady swim team.

Vandy, after 100 years of futility, made it into the SEC football record book for something

Up until the hart-celller inmmigration act in 1965, The United States was not very diverse, it was close to 90% white, and it was doing pretty well.
